Milan is a multifaceted city that expresses itself in the most diverse creative sectors. Among these, its editorial and literary vocation is, without a doubt, one of the least known aspects, but with the greatest impact on the history and cultural tradition of the territory.

Walking through the streets of Milan you can find yourself in one of the many places that have witnessed the lives of authors and publishers, the story of the city and the professions that are traditionally linked to editorial production.

Following its designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Literature in 2017, Milan began an activity of rediscovery and valorisation of these places starting from Editorial Milan, a first mapping of the most significant institutions for the promotion of reading - libraries, bookshops and publishing houses - carried out in 2018.
