The electorate residing abroad and registered in the Italian Registry of Residents Abroad (AIRE) can vote both in political elections and in referendums.

• Those who are in countries that have signed an agreement with Italy can choose whether to vote by post or vote in Italy
• the deadlines for communicating the choice to vote in Italy for these elections expired on 31 July 2022
• options made during previous political consultations or referendums are no longer effective.
   

Cases in which it is not possible to vote abroad

Those who reside in countries with which there are no agreements for the exercise of the right to vote can vote in Italy without having to submit any communication (consult the attached list).
