Milan, 14 August - Ferragosto: civic museums open and “Milanesada” at the Castle. The collection of the Museo del Novecento in Piazza Duomo, the history of ancient Milan at the Archaeological Museum, the Maria Cristina Carlini exhibition in the deconsecrated church of San Sisto, the permanent collection of Mudec and many other cultural offerings are the range of possibilities offered by Milan on August 15th. The day ends at the Sforzesco Castle with the "Milanesada", a special evening dedicated to the world and history of Milanese song, theater and cabaret

Registry office: Leonardo, Sofia and Giulia are the most chosen names among the 4865 born in 2020. Among the most common surnames, however, there is something new: Hu surpasses the very Italian Rossi.
This year too, the "Welcome to the house of cuddles" project is back for children and their families: a welcome letter from the Municipality of Milan with instructions for collecting the gift package containing products for the well-being of children and their parents.

Square open: tactical urban planning underway in via Toce, piazzale Tripoli and piazzetta Capuana. 
Ping-pong and picnic tables, benches, plants, pedestrian areas and cycle paths are the result of citizens' proposals to redesign the Isola, Bande Nere and Quarto Oggiaro districts and make them more liveable and safe. 
The interventions already carried out in other areas of Milan in recent years have been providential in a summer in which outdoor spaces have become fundamental for the city.
