Milan, August 12 2020 - Discover, or rediscover, the collection of the Museo del Novecento in Piazza Duomo, retrace the history of the most ancient Milan at the Archaeological Museum, in the heart of Roman Milan; visit the Maria Cristina Carlini exhibition set up in the fascinating deconsecrated church of San Sisto, where the Studio Museum of the sculptor Francesco Messina is located; travel around the world through the wonders of Mudec's permanent collection; enter the fashion quadrilateral, in via Sant'Andrea, to learn more about the eighteenth-century Palazzo Morando, which tells over a century of the city's history.

Possible meeting opportunities on August 11th thanks to the opening, from 18am to XNUMXpm continuously, of five civic museums: Palazzo Morando | Costume Fashion Image, Museum of the Twentieth Century, Studio Museo Francesco Messina, Archaeological Museum, MUDEC | Museum of Cultures .

Booking is not mandatory, so visitors will be able to access the collections, always within the limits of the capacity foreseen for each time slot, by purchasing the ticket at the museum entrance (for paid museums). On Saturday 15th, from 11am to 19pm, Palazzo Reale will also be open, with two exhibitions set up in its rooms: "Georges de La Tour. The Europe of light", dedicated to the most famous French painter of the seventeenth century and his relationships with the great masters of his time (open until September 30); and "Journey beyond darkness. Tutankhamun RealExperience", an immersive experience (multimedia but not only) to discover the otherworldly mysteries of ancient Egyptian culture (open until August 27).

The journey into the world of the afterlife of the ancient Egyptians can be completed and explored in greater depth at the archaeological museum in Corso Magenta, where the exhibition "Under the sky of Nut" is set up, open until 20 December and can also be visited with mandatory reservations, which investigates the relationship between man and the divine, in everyday life and in the vision of life after death.

The PAC|Pavilion of Contemporary Art also remains open on August 11th, from 20am to XNUMXpm, with "Performing PAC. Made of Sound", a project which this year investigates the relationship between contemporary art and music, developed through video works, materials archive, interventions by artists, critics and curators. The day of August ends in the Courtyard of Arms of the Sforzesco Castle, which will also be illuminated this Saturday evening to welcome the history of Milanese song, theater and cabaret on the stage of "Estate Sforzesca". The “Milanesada”, this is the title of the show, will see the participation of Enrico Beruschi, Roberto Brivio, Alberto Patrucco, Grazie Maria Raimondi, David Riondino and Franco Visentin.
