What do you find in the farmhouse
In Cascina Amata it is possible to organize guided tours to rediscover the traditions of a culture that is still alive and thriving. Knowledge of ancient crafts and lifestyles of which the courtyards, porticoes and farmhouses bear witness.

The farm can also be visited freely.

Cascina Amata represents a cross-section of post-war history, linked to field work and rural traditions. Inside the Southern Agricultural Park of Milan, it has kept its original appearance intact for generations.

Among the numerous daily occupations we find the breeding of around one hundred and fifty dairy animals and the production of cheese. The visitor therefore has the opportunity to relive the simple habits of country life.

The farmhouse dates back to 1500, when it belonged to a community of Cistercian monks, a religious order dedicated for centuries to the reclamation and agricultural exploitation of the marshy lands around the city.

Nearby is the church dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, dating back to the 15th century, inside which you can admire a painting attributed to Luini. The frescoes that decorate the apse wall, with scenes from the life of Saint Peter, are attributed to Guido Reni.
