Disability

The recipients of the interventions are people up to 60 years of age with disability.

The service is aimed primarily at those people with severe disabilities, exceeding 75% (certified by ATS).
They are excluded from this constraint people with a psychiatric diagnosis.

The requests of disabled citizens are collected and analyzed by the local Social Service.

Family support: educational and/or welfare interventions provided by Accredited Bodies. These interventions aim to support the person and the family unit with respect to the needs of care, assistance, personal growth and social reintegration.

Economic assistance: is implemented through interventions that allow people with disabilities to meet ordinary needs, if they are in a condition of economic poverty, or to be helped in the implementation of targeted and temporary projects.

Actions and interventions in this area of ​​the program are aimed at consolidating and developing existing services.

New types of services are being tested, such as:

  • increase in both healthcare and educational services carried out at the homes of disabled people
  • activities aimed atjob placement 
  • management of activities related to placement in residential facilities
  • start of experiments, in collaboration with private social organisations, of adequate housing solutions also as a consequence of the aging of people with disabilities and their family members (“during us”, “after us” and “disabled emergency”).
