Milan, 7 August - Taxi vouchers: 700 thousand euros to support a sector in crisis and provide a means of transport to the most vulnerable categories. The vouchers, worth 10 euros, can be used by hospital staff, people with 100% disabilities, over 70s and women for travel at night only (between 21pm and 6am). The number of vouchers available and the methods of use vary depending on the category and the only conditions to benefit from them are to be resident in Milan and pay for the ride electronically.

#Summerpopular: numerous initiatives and notices aimed at young and old tenants of Milanese public housing.

  • Widespread summer centre: games and entertainment in the courtyards of popular buildings. The initiative, conceived exceptionally for summer 2020, is dedicated to children and young people between 6 and 14 years old in conditions of economic fragility and joins the range of proposals of the Milan Summer school. Exceptional locations, 20 courtyards of public housing located throughout the city, which will come alive with free recreational, recreational and educational activities throughout the months of August and September.

  • CaseCittà: the notice that rewards the territorial animation of tenant committees in public housing has been published. The idea is to open the courtyards and common areas to welcome the inhabitants' ideas and their initiatives. Enhancement of shared spaces, meetings, musical, cinematographic and theatrical events, creation of neighborhood networks, or even training and awareness-raising activities, are just some of the possible projects. The overall fund amounts to 100 thousand euros and the winning Committees will be entitled to a contribution of up to a maximum of 10 thousand euros each.

“Next business 2020”: over 1,1 million euros in favor of commercial and artisan businesses operating in the less central areas of Milan. These are non-repayable contributions up to 25% of the total expenditure, in addition to a subsidized rate loan for the other 25%, for a total amount not exceeding 50 thousand euros for each individual support project. Since the beginning of the year, 4 million euros have been invested in the economic support of decentralized neighborhoods and neighborhood businesses.
