• Registration with the Milan electronic detection system is essential for vehicles with passes issued by other Municipalities
• for vehicles with a pass requested from the Municipality of Milan, insertion into the database takes place at the same time as the permit is issued (present a copy of the registration document of the vehicle you intend to combine.

• If the pass does not expire, the maximum validity of the registration will be five years from the date of insertion. However, validity is subject to the natural expiry of the disabled parking permit
• if the renewal of the pass takes place at a different municipal administration, the holder will be responsible for communicating this to the Municipality of Milan
• if the pass is combined with a vehicle registered abroad, the validity of the registration cannot exceed sixty days.

The pass is valid only if:

• the pass holder is on board the vehicle during circulation
• the original marking is visibly displayed on the dashboard
  - photocopies, scans or counterfeits are not permitted
  - in such cases the non-original document will be seized, a pecuniary and administrative sanction will be incurred and, in the case of counterfeiting, criminal charges will also be incurred
• the vehicle's license plate was registered before use (unless it is an occasional transit).

The permit issued by the Municipality of Milan must be returned:

• at expiration
• in case of cessation of use
• in the event of the owner's death
• if the mobility needs of the disabled person no longer exist.
