Il  permanent exhibition itinerary , divided into 14 rooms, tells the story of Italian events,  from the rise of the first independence tensions to the unification of the country and the proclamation of Rome as the capital  and also documents the evolution of  Lombard romantic painting  starting from the 1840s. until the completion of the Unification of Italy, in an iconographically diversified whole.

Along the exhibition route there are also numerous  sculptures , mostly busts depicting historical figures, writers and politicians. The different form of representation allows you to almost "touch" the faces of those who made history.
