The Risorgimento Museum preserves an important nucleus of flags and standards from the Napoleonic era. These are very rare objects which, for conservation reasons, are normally preserved in the museum's deposits and have been the subject, in recent years, of an important restoration campaign. In particular, one of these banners offered the model, during the presidency of Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, for the official banner of the President of the Italian Republic.
To find out more about these rare textile objects, it will be possible to visit the exhibition focus "From the Phrygian cap to the golden eagle", scheduled at Palazzo Moriggia, from 17 May to 29 October.
