Services for Alzheimer's: Psychology Centers

The Psychology Centers for the Elderly and Alzheimer's (CPAA) are free services managed by professionals from the Municipality or by private or third sector bodies, with experience in the psychology of aging. They offer needs analysis, orientation to the services available in the area, accompaniment in personalized paths for using the services, psychoeducation and psychological support.
In recent years, more than 1.700 people have been followed and over 12.500 interviews and other interventions carried out.

They speak to: 

  • to the elderly who experience a moment of psychological distress or emotional difficulty resulting from particular events that occurred in this phase of life;
  • to family members who care for an elderly person;
  • to people with mild-moderate cognitive impairment to deal with the changes taking place.
