For the 2023-2024 school year, students can benefit from interventions based on individual projects indicated by specialists, taking into account the indications coming from the social services of the Municipalities, and from the various entities that, in various capacities, deal with children and children with sensory disabilities.

The service is provided by qualified bodies (associations, cooperatives, foundations), which have been selected by participating in a public notice and included in a dedicated list.

The assistance interventions concern:

• typhlological consultancy;
• communication assistance;
• provision of special teaching materials and textbooks.

Students who:

• residents in the Lombardy Region or residents outside the Region, but with specific family situations (for example: foster care with families resident in the Lombardy Region, placement with families/communities in the regional territory, ordered by the competent Judicial Authority);
• attending educational, scholastic and training courses from nursery school (excluding the spring section which falls within the nursery experimentation referred to in DGR no. XI/2426/2019 and no. upper secondary education and second cycle professional training;
• in possession of sensory disability certification;
• in possession of or awaiting the report of the assessment panel for the identification of the disabled student pursuant to Prime Ministerial Decree no. 185/2006, of the DGR n. 3449/2006, integrated by DGR n. 2185 of 4.08.2011);
• functional diagnosis, in which "the need for specialist assistance for communication" is made explicit (deaf/blind/severely visually impaired).

They can present a new question:

• adult students with sensory disabilities;
• parent of the student with a sensory disability;
• the guardian/support administrator of the entitled person.

They can instead submit a renewal of the application:

• adult students with sensory disabilities;
• parent of the student with a sensory disability (same as last year);
• the guardian/support administrator of the entitled person (same as last year) who have already submitted an application for the 2022-2023 school year.
