The Sports Councilor of Municipality 2 illustrated the state of the art of the various sports facilities present in the area, placing a focus on the new workout area recently inaugurated in the Martesana Park with the aim of bringing the Municipalities closer to the next Olympics, giving continuity to the present sporting activities and at the same time support intergenerationality, through the promotion of new sporting disciplines. Representatives of the economic think tank Tortuga presented a study on real estate affordability in the major Italian cities, highlighting the areas where the costs of purchasing apartments are highest. A particular focus was dedicated to Milan where it was highlighted that homes in the city center have a higher cost than other parts of the city. Furthermore, average salaries were also linked to mortgage repayments. The Councilors presented various proposals to control the Milanese real estate market which will be examined in depth in other Commission sessions.

The expert in arboriculture, invited to report on the management of city trees in Germany and specifically, in the urban context of Karlsruhe (Baden-Württemberg), after having underlined the historical-cultural importance of city greenery, with particular reference to the country and to the city in which he lives and works and the effects of climate change, he explained which tree species are best suited to urban contexts, the maintenance methodologies, the measures to be adopted to preserve their life as well as good practices for care and protection some trees. Regarding the city of Milan, others have highlighted the bad habits that threaten the existence of trees (excessive overbuilding, improper parking, irregular excavations, pruning techniques that are not always adequate, etc.). The debate was postponed, due to lack of time, to a future session.

The President of Municipality 8 explained to the Commission the situation of the sports facilities present in Municipality 8. The Sports Councilor clarified the Palasharp affair. The President of Municipality 5 and the representative of the "Ritorno al Carraro" Committee reported on the current situation of the management of the Carraro sports centre, constantly monitored by the Councilor for Sport. There was also discussion regarding the Forza e Coraggio sports center, where boxing training has been held for several years.

OUTCOME:
In the presence of the Mobility Councilor and a manager responsible for the Public Transport Sharing and Parking Area, the presentation session of MaaS 4 Italy took place, an experimental project that combines the integrated development of city public mobility through the digitalisation of the service , thanks to an important investment which concerns part of the projects financed by the PNRR. It is an electronic portal for mobility based on a model already being tested in other cities, which integrates various forms of transport and a single payment channel. The councilors were able to delve deeper into how citizens can access the experimentation, contributing to the evolution of the project itself.

Councilor Cappello and the guests illustrated the contents of the second edition of the Beauty Week, which will be held from 26/9 to 2/10, specifying that the fundamental aspect is the cultural one. They provided data regarding the beauty sector in Italy and highlighted that many brands, including foreign ones, are based in Milan and have production in Lombardy. They highlighted that a part of the event will be dedicated to the scientific aspect and the social importance of cosmetics for personal care and health. They specified that all the events, of which they have provided a detailed description, will be free, while the small commercial part has the aim of raising funds for their non-profit organization "La Forza del Smile", which intervenes in hospitals where women with cancer patients are hospitalised. They also carried out an in-depth analysis regarding the disposal of product residues (special waste), specifying that there will be a part dedicated to this aspect.

OUTCOME:
The representatives of the Coordination for the "Protection of the Green Urban Belt of Milan" illustrated, through a graphic presentation, the problems encountered by citizens who reside in the Hippodrome area, when events and concerts take place.
The critical issues encountered concern the excessive influx of people to the events and the lack of a protocol that establishes the general rules which should mainly concern parking, public transport, noise and traffic.
The will of the Councilors and citizens' representatives converge on the idea of a "Plan" involving various actors to regulate events.
Having exhausted the time available and believing that they have not completed the discussion, the Presidents postpone the session to a later adjournment.

The managers of the Welfare and Health Area presented the "Warm Plan" consisting of the interventions prepared to help the elderly left alone in the city during the summer period. Measures aimed at supporting sociality have also been envisaged, such as entrances to some municipal museums, cinemas and swimming pools. The Councilors gave some suggestions on how to make Milan more welcoming in August which the Welfare Area Managers have declared that they will take into account.

The Director of the Resource Management Area of the Urban Security Directorate illustrated the main contents of the proposed Resolution no. 1105/2023 relating to 26 sentences issued in Milan, except one and communicated to the Municipal Administration last May. You specified that, regarding off-balance sheet debts, the situation is constantly monitored with the aim of reducing the overall amount of disputes and the budget item dedicated to them (currently 240.000.000 Euros). The proposed Resolution no. 1105/2023, at the end of the debate, was declared discussed and therefore transmitted to the City Council for subsequent obligations.

With its activities, WIF supports and promotes gender equality and inclusiveness in the world of entertainment and media, developing projects that can promote cultural and social change for the benefit of all and all. The guest illustrated the 2023 national statistical report by Caritas on poverty in Italy, reporting that the data analyzed are those collected in the listening centers from the 255.957 people who requested support in 2022, 14.619 from the Diocese of Milan and 3.900 in the city alone from Milan.
A debate followed during which the Councilors who spoke expressed considerations on citizenship income, the minimum wage and the importance of a network that involves all the entities that can intercept hardship.
