OUTCOME:

Today's session is the third step aimed at understanding the current situation of the municipal social service, both first and second level. Today's one takes into consideration the area of ​​residential care linked to the protection of minors, therefore to the second level social service, which in this sense represents a fundamental piece in being able to manage the system of meeting the social needs linked to the world of minors with their parent. The Director of the Residential Area of ​​the Welfare and Health Department was present, to whom the councilors present asked in-depth questions which were adequately answered.

Joint Council Commission Sport, Tourism, Youth Policies-Policies for Wellbeing e Olympics and Paralympics Milan Cortina 2026  (Chaired by Councilor Angelica Vasile and Councilor Alessandro Giungi)
Agenda: Hearing of Councilor Martina Riva and representatives of Milanosport SpA on the following facilities: Argelati and Suzzani swimming pools and Saini Sports Centre. They will be present:

OUTCOME:

Councilor Riva announced that the sports facilities in question will be affected by major renovation works. In particular, the Saini Sports Center will close next October and its management will pass from Milano Sport to the State University of Milan; the two seaside resorts Argelati and Suzzani will remain closed for the 2023 summer season.
A debate followed during which the Councilors asked for clarification on the duration and cost of the works, also highlighting the need to identify solutions that can mitigate the inconvenience that the closure of these structures will bring to citizens. Councilor Riva provided timely answers.

Agenda:Resolution no. 884-2023. Update of the list of properties identified as "critically abandoned building heritage" pursuant to paragraph 1 of the art. 40 bis of the Regional Law 11 March 2005 n. 12 and subsequent amendments The following were invited to the Commission's work:

  • the Councilor for Urban Regeneration Giancarlo Tancredi;
  • the Director of the Urban Regeneration Directorate arch. Simona Collarini;
  • the Director of the General Urban Planning Area arch. Marino Bottini;
  • the Director of the PGT and SUE Direct Implementation Specialist Directorate arch. Marco Porta.

OUTCOME:

Slides are illustrated relating to the prerequisites for identifying decommissioned and to be decommissioned properties and the respective regulatory references in the wake of the "Mother Law" and previous Resolutions.
Currently, 52 intervention proposals have been presented, of which 16, the subject of today's resolution, meet the requirements relating to decommissioning and critical issues.
The 16 buildings are examined individually and the mapping shows that they are mostly concentrated in the north-west of the city and former industrial plants.

OUTCOME:

The representatives and collaborators of the "Mitiga" srl illustrated the company's "matching" activity between the workforce present in prison and external companies; the various guests then intervened to comment on this activity and provide suggestions for its future increase, given the knowledge of the fact that work training during the sentence reduces the risk of repeat crime. In this context, many have spoken of the work potential present in prisons, which often remain unknown, and of the fact that many sentences of less than three years could be channeled towards assignments and work activities, without even allowing the person to enter prison, decreasing thus also prison overcrowding.
