OUTCOME:

The representatives of the amateur sports club "Maxibasket Milano over 55" illustrated to the Commission the initiatives and sporting activities carried out by the amateur sports club, focusing on the charitable activities carried out at the Pediatric Department of the Fatebenefratelli Hospital. They therefore responded to the requests for information formulated by the Councilors regarding women's maxibasketball and the activities carried out at the Pediatric House of the Fatebenefratelli Hospital. There was discussion regarding some redevelopment interventions for city playgrounds.

Agenda:The city I would like. Reinventing the city fit for women. Presentation of the Soroptimist project and manifesto for Milan. They will be present:

OUTCOME:

Dr. Floreani clarified that Soroptimist is a global association of women engaged in professional and managerial activities, accredited by the UN and other international institutions. You also made it known that to promote and facilitate the effective participation of women in decision-making processes towards the changes necessary to create the cities of tomorrow, Soroptimist launched, in December 2021, the national project "The city I would like. Reinventing the city fit for women" with the proposal of an online questionnaire through which 5.038 women evaluated today's cities and formulated proposals for the sustainable cities of tomorrow.
The results of this survey were used to draft the Soroptimist Manifesto for the sustainable future of cities.
The Presidents have made clear their intention to continue the discussion of the topic by convening further Commissions.

Agenda: "Presentation of the plan to remove architectural barriers in 8 stations of the M1 and M2 metropolitan lines financed with PNRR funds. Furthermore, illustration of the further interventions planned in view of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics and Paralympics. The following will be present:

OUTCOME:

The Transport Councilor and the offices have described the plans to provide accessibility for disabled people (via lift or stairlift), all the stations of lines 1 and 2 of the Metro, by 2026, will have winter Olympics and Paralympics in Milan. A debate ensued, in which both the Councillors, experts in the field of accessibility and representatives of associations of motor and visual disabled people participated with contributions and suggestions.

OUTCOME:

The celebratory event, called “From the Villages to the City. From the City to the Neighborhoods”, was presented by the coordinator of Milan is Memory, by the manager of the Citadel of Archives and by the owner of the Coordination Office of the Local Libraries. The historical re-enactment, which will take place throughout the year, concerns the 150th anniversary of the acquisition by the city of the so-called Corpi Santi of Milan (1873) and the centenary of the integration (1923) of the eleven neighboring municipalities (Affori, Baggio, Chiaravalle Milanese, Crescenzago, Gorla Precotto, Greco Milanese, Lambrate, Musocco, Niguarda, Trenno and Vigentino) in Milan. The initiatives planned by the central administration and the municipalities were illustrated, in collaboration with some bodies (F.ne Feltrinelli, F.ne Perini, etc.), local associations and schools. Finally, it was specified that there will be no dedicated budget item.

Agenda:" Notices for the collection of expressions of interest aimed at the regeneration and redevelopment of the Porto di Mare area." The following were invited to the Commission's work:

The topic attracted the attention of the Councilors present, who asked questions and requested clarifications.
Various stakeholders operating in the area participated in the council commission, listening and sometimes intervening.

Agenda: Legambiente report on energy communities with a focus on the city of Milan PARTICIPANTS:

OUTCOME:

The offices and guests reported growth which, although slow, affected all renewable sources in Italy and the fact that around a hundred Energy Communities had been mapped across the national territory (35 already operational, 41 in planning and 24 at a very advanced stage). The path for the construction of a Milanese energy community system was also recalled.
A debate followed at the end of which the President made clear his intention to deepen the discussion of the topic by convening a further Commission.
