The representatives of the Bank of Italy illustrated and commented on the report they produce annually regarding the economic situation of Lombardy, then answering the questions of the Councillors.

OUTCOME:

The Councilor illustrated the characteristics of the Consolidated Financial Statements relating to the 2022 financial year, referring to the maintenance of the same consolidation perimeter as 2021. A debate followed during which some questions were asked, in particular on the increase in interest, to which the Councilor provided a response. The President then declared resolution no. discussed. 1480, which can be brought to the examination of the municipal council.

OUTCOME:

The session focused on the presentation of the administrative experience relating to the work inclusion service for disadvantaged people carried out in the context of social cooperation, which saw the Municipality of Brescia as protagonist. Institutional representatives and representatives from the association and cooperative world of Brescia were present, as well as managers and officials of the Youth Work and Sport Directorate and the Single Central Procurement Directorate of the Municipality of Milan. The guests illustrated the application of the regulatory references, providing an opportunity for in-depth analysis and comparison with their Milanese counterparts, as well as drawing up hypotheses for future work.

Agenda:"Update on the developments following the approval in the City Council of agenda no. 292 with the following object: "Communicate and publicize the accessibility of public municipal buildings and the spaces in which events organized or sponsored by the Municipality are held". They will be present :

  • the Delegate for accessibility policies of the Municipality of Milan, Prof. Giuseppe Arconzo;

OUTCOME:

The Councilors and speakers invited to the Commission provided specifications relating to the developments following the approval of agenda no. by the City Council. 292 regarding the need to guarantee universal accessibility to people with reduced or impaired motor or sensory abilities. It was highlighted that for all public events organized or sponsored by the Municipality, specific indications relating to the accessibility of the places where the event will take place are included, via specific graphics or written wording. The Councilors have given some reflections on the merits.

Agenda:“Presentation of the New BOVISA CAMPUS Project”. The following were invited to the Commission's work:

OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Urban Regeneration, the Vice Rector of the Polytechnic of Milan and the Architects of the Renzo Piano Building Workshop illustrated the project of the new Bovisa Campus to the Commission. The Commission expressed its appreciation for the fact that new university residences will be built, that the existing greenery will be preserved and that the Bovisa and Villapizzone railway stations will be redeveloped. More information was therefore provided on the financing and sports facilities that will be built.

Agenda: "Actions regarding Movida" Speakers:

OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Safety presented the contents of the Ordinance, which provides for measures to contain human noise and a ban on its use in premises after midnight.
The Presidents of the Commissions of today's session, together with the various category representatives, discussed the merits of the draft relating to the "experimental" Ordinance, expressing dissent for this measure to combat "bad nightlife", highlighting instead the existence of inherent problems to security and the absence of controls by the police forces.
The Presidents order the postponement of the session to another date given the complexity of the topic.

Agenda: Hearing by the Vice President of the Turin City Council Ludovica Cioria who will illustrate how the Turin City Council has managed to guarantee new parents the ability to follow Council meetings remotely and in what ways. He will speak:

OUTCOME:

The Vice President of the Turin City Council illustrated the procedures and reasons that led this City Council to guarantee new parents the possibility of participating remotely in the Council meetings. All this has aroused considerable interest and appreciation on the part of the Milanese City Councilors who have decided to investigate the issue in further detail in other Commission sessions and verify the possibility that a similar measure is also adopted by the Municipality of Milan.

OUTCOME:

The councilors, continuing the debate started during the session of 20/9, presented their positions regarding the union ordinance concerning actions regarding nightlife. They underlined the need to correct the content of the same and the need to proceed with greater controls to target only those businesses that do not comply with the regulations currently in force. Representatives of traders also spoke, expressing their opposition to an ordinance which would not solve the noise problems but which would have negative repercussions on safety, and representatives of citizens' committees, who highlighted the need to indicate more stringent rules to safeguarding the health and sleep of citizens themselves. The Presidents agreed to prepare, in the form of a letter to be sent to the Mayor and Councillors, a text with the contents that emerged during the debate and observations on the issue.

OUTCOME:

The session focused on hearing the major representatives of the Libellula Foundation, an organization present for years in the urban area with a multidisciplinary approach, which has demonstrated the ability to be attentive to the needs of disadvantaged groups of citizens, providing articulated responses both in case of mistreatment and violence towards women and gender discrimination, as well as educational, economic and social poverty. The session was also an opportunity to raise awareness of the activities of their first branch, recently opened in via Tommaso Marinetti n.2. The councilors present were able to delve deeper into the contents of their activity with questions and observations.
