OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Culture and the Commissioners went to the Alda Merini Casa delle Arti space located in via Magolfa 30, Milan, where they were welcomed by CETEC (European Theater and Prison Centre) which presented the structure and the activities that take place there they carry out as well as offering a performance by some artists who told part of the poet's life and recited some of her poems. At the end of the performance, we visited the reproduction of the room in which Alda Merini lived and the association presented its problems in managing this space, highlighting the need for the Municipality to prepare signs to help citizens find it. The Councilors have expressed their commitment to meeting this request.

Agenda: "Investments and progress of works for new substations and modernization of the distribution network to avoid disruptions in the supply of electricity (blackout)". The following will be present in the commission:

OUTCOME:

A2A representatives focused on the situation of disservices of the electricity network, clarifying that as of 30 June 2023 the faults were 15% less than in 2021 and 30% less than in 2022. They also reported that investments are planned of over 150 million euros per year, from 2024 to 2030, to renew and strengthen the network and therefore avoid the blackouts that occur during the summer seasons.
A debate followed during which the Councilors formulated considerations and asked for clarifications on the maintenance of the existing electricity network, on the location of future primary cabins and on the need for an energy saving and efficiency plan, to which the guests provided answers .

OUTCOME:

The relevant offices have provided an update on public works in the cemeteries, highlighting those completed and various data to better understand the timing and costs of all interventions. Furthermore, the project relating to the construction of the high-power photovoltaic system capable of providing significant coverage of consumption in the Chiaravalle cemetery was presented. The Councilors asked questions on the merits which were given exhaustive answers.

Agenda:National presentation of 4 July 2023 on Adolescents and the Future - Presentation of the results of the national survey on the lifestyles of adolescents living in Italy. Participants:

OUTCOME:

The session focused on the presentation of the results of the national survey on the lifestyles of adolescents living in Italy and which was presented by a social research and analysis laboratory made up of experts from different sectors, from the more strictly sociological to the healthcare one. The considerations carried out have allowed us to identify specific aspects of feedback also present within the Milan area, focusing on possible interventions relating to youth policies.

The Councilor takes stock of the situation relating to the Agora and summarizes the various steps taken to unblock the situation. Guests have complained about the closure of the facility and hoped that it can be used again, although they are aware that the costs of reopening it will be high. The commissioners and municipal councilors also expressed disappointment at the progress of the matter, formulated some suggestions and invited the Administration to adopt measures, so that Milan is ready with the ice facilities in view of the 2026 Winter Olympics. Councilor answered the questions and clarified some aspects, reassuring the councilors and guests about the regular offer of facilities for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

The Representatives of the OPI (Order of Nursing Personnel) of Milan have brought to the attention of the members of the Commission the need to recognize the right to exemption from the fee foreseen for access to AREA C, in the event that the interventions, treatment or assistance and carried out, by private means, by healthcare personnel, are provided in the area of ​​the city included within the Spanish Walls. (ZTL) The Councilor for Mobility has specified that a recent revision of the text governing the matter has introduced the exemption from the ticket for private vehicles of healthcare personnel, provided that the intervention cannot be postponed or has an urgent nature and is readily available. . Previously, these vehicles were only allowed to park for free on the blue and yellow lines.

Agenda:Inspection at the Arena Civica, Viale Giorgio Byron, 2. The following were invited:

OUTCOME:

The participants went to the Arena Civica in via G. Byron,2 and once there they visited the Palazzina Appiani, accompanied by a FAI guide who explained the history of the Napoleonic era structure and its evolution over the centuries.
The structure had been given in concession by the Municipality to the FAI, which promoted awareness of it, while the sports facility was directly managed by the Municipal Administration.
The Councilors asked some questions regarding the activities carried out in the sports facility and the type of events possible within the Palazzina Appiani, which were given exhaustive answers.
