Joint Council Commission Economic Development-Labour Policies e Culture (Chaired by Councilor Orso Mauro and Councilor Costamagna Luca) 
Agenda: Inspection at ADI Design Museum. Meeting point: Piazza Compasso d'Oro 1. The following will be present at the Commission:

  • Andrea Cancellato, Director of ADI Design Museum.

OUTCOME:

The Councilors visited the ADI Design Museum, located in Piazza Compasso d'Oro n. 1. 
Open for less than two years and located in a former industrial area, the Museum houses a permanent collection dedicated to the winners of the Compasso d'Oro Award and their creations. 
It also hosts temporary exhibitions and is home to a restoration laboratory and a design laboratory for children. 
Those present asked various questions, above all in order to understand how to raise awareness of the activities of this new Milanese cultural hub.

Agenda:""Urban Air Mobility" Project - Hypotheses for the establishment of a Newco by SEA SpA" The following will be present:

OUTCOME:

The CEO of SEA illustrated the project relating to the establishment of a Newco for Urban Air Mobility which involves the use of vertical take-off electric planes for short journeys. Many of the largest cities in the world are considering the possibility of using drone-like aircraft for short passenger movements within a radius, currently around 50 kilometres. This is an opportunity to be seized to travel from Milan airports to the city or even from one Lombard center to another which it is hoped to be able to make operational for the 2026 Winter Olympics. This system would reduce air pollution as electric planes would be used and they would help to decongest urban traffic. The Councilors asked some questions about the project which were promptly answered.

Council Commission Civic Services, Relations with Municipalities, Digitalisation (Chaired by Councilor Arienta Alice)
Agenda: "Update of the change of residence process and ANPR (National Resident Population Registry)". They will be present:

OUTCOME:

In the presence of the Councilor for Civic and General Services, as well as the top executives of the Technological and Digital Directorate, a focus was held on the development of the completely digitalized system of change of residence for Milanese citizens, a project capable of enormously speeding up this type of practice starting from the new post-pandemic phase which has seen a surge in requests. In parallel, the system integrates with the National Resident Population Registry. The councilors explored this innovative method with requests for further information which were adequately responded to.

OUTCOME:

The Heads of the Home Management illustrated the state of the art relating to the experimentation and further development of the "Neighbourhood Laboratories" project (social inclusion, support for sociability, cultural and sporting activities, legal consultancy, after-school activities, etc.), present, especially in neighborhoods with a high density of ERP blocks. Furthermore, the hope of involving other Departments in this program and the extension of the project to other areas of the city was shared by all those present.

Trijoint Council Commission Sport-Tourism-Youth Policies-Policies for Wellbeing, Subcommittee on Prisons Penalties Restrictions e Olympics-Paralympics Milan Cortina 2026 (Presided over by Councilor Vasile Angelica, Councilor Nahum Daniele and Councilor Giungi Alessandro)
Agenda:Inspection at the San Vittore Prison, meeting in Piazza Filangeri n. 2, in the presence of Claudio Ceriani, president of Yousport for the presentation, with the Director Giacinto Siciliano of CC San Vittore, of a sports and social project relating to the Milanese prison.

OUTCOME:

The joint prison, sport and Olympics council commissions went to the San Vittore prison for the presentation by the President of Yousport of a sports and social project for the Milanese prison. Following the failure to obtain a quorum, the inspection was declared deserted by the Presidents of the Commissions.

OUTCOME:

The Project Manager and the Director of Communication of the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation illustrated the Foundation's next actions, especially relating to communication, also describing the new composition of the Board of Directors, which went from 26 to 14 members and led by a new CEO. They then answered the questions posed by the President of the Commission and the Councillors.

Agenda: "Cycle couriers in Milan: who they are and what they do. Messengers United hearing which will illustrate who they are, how many there are and what the bike couriers in Milan do, with particular reference to their role in the Milanese logistics system" They will participate :

OUTCOME:

The guests illustrated the activity of workers of bike-cargo companies, which differ from riders who are platform employees. They analyzed their work and the usefulness of this mode of transport and delivery of goods for the city and with a view to reducing car traffic. They detailed the values ​​that unite the 5 city companies and that pushed them to join together in Messengers United. They also detailed the contents of the tender / project managed by AMAT intended to make people understand the need to expand this type of service. The councilors underlined the importance of this work for the city and asked questions regarding the offer of the service and the type of contract of the workers employed; questions answered by guests.

OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Welfare and Health and the Director of the Residential Area illustrated the Temporary Social Residential System to the Commission, in view of the release of the next tender. They therefore responded to the requests for information formulated by the Councilors regarding cost sharing by users, tuition costs and accompaniment routes to work.

The guests clarified that Informatica Solidale is an association founded in 2013 from the voluntary commitment of professionals in the IT field with the objectives of promoting social development and reducing situations of socio-cultural hardship through the use of information technologies. The main activities of the association are support for the Third Sector and people with disabilities, the reduction of the cultural and economic Digital Divide, and International Cooperation.

Welcomed by the representative of the Reception Center for Unaccompanied Minors (first reception and an integral part of the Reception and Integration System) in via Zendrini, the group of visitors, once informed about the number of places available (12 but 13 current guests), purposes, legal provisions that regulate its functions, sources of financing, professionalism making up the management team, interventions offered, methods of activating the service relating to the structure, examines the living environments of the minors hosted and the spaces assigned to the various professionals involved in running the Center (educators, psychologists, doctors, social workers, teachers of Italian for foreigners and lawyers).
