OUTCOME:

In the presence of the Mobility Councilor, the managers of the Innovative Transport Strategies Area and some representatives of the Active Mobility and Accessibility Council, the current state of the bike sharing sector in Milan was illustrated following the new public tender, in order to delve deeper into the topic also in terms of perspectives. Considering the expectations of citizens and the management complexity required by such a service, the strategies developed by the Administration were addressed. The councilors present raised their in-depth requests to which an adequate response was provided.

Agenda:“The museum leaves the museum: alternative educational experiences”. Present at the Commission will be:

OUTCOME:

The offices and the guests illustrated the contents of the projects in question which saw the involvement of the municipal administration and the "La Grande Fabbrica delle parole" Association with the aim of bringing girls/boys and girls/boys from difficult contexts and with fewer opportunities to access places of culture and also to bring the museum to the suburbs so that culture is for everyone.
A debate followed during which the Councilors who spoke expressed their approval for the project described, hoping that it can be extended to a greater number of museum structures.

Agenda:Citizens of the present for a city fit for children and young people: the representatives of the nine Girls' and Boys' Municipal Councils. Will participate:

  • Councilor for Civic and General Services: Gaia Romani;
  • Councilor for Budget and Real Estate: Emmanuel Conte.

OUTCOME:

The representatives of the nine Municipal Councils of girls and boys presented, with the help of the Municipality Presidents, in the Council Hall of Palazzo Marino the projects they have developed in recent months and which will now be implemented. The nine initiatives presented were all very interesting and involved the majority of the city's schools. At the end of the meeting, a video of the Mayor thanking the young people for their commitment to the projects exhibited was shown.

The Councilors expressed their appreciation for this way of living, based on social coexistence and the sharing of spaces and services.

OUTCOME:

The Head of the IFEL Foundation (Institute for Finance and Local Economy) illustrated the main innovations introduced by Legislative Decree no. 19 of 2 March 2024 (“Further urgent provisions for the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan - PNRR”), the effects of which significantly weigh on Local Authorities (defunding, partial or total, of some more stringent interventions, measures and timescales verification, etc.). A focus on the City of Milan was also proposed (Integrated Urban Plans) and other important changes on the structural funds and on the substitutive powers of the Central Administrations were highlighted.

OUTCOME:

The offices illustrated the project among the winners of the international competition organized by Bloomberg Philanthropies. They underlined that the project, a cycle route approximately 6 km long, aims to give continuity to a main itinerary, serve schools and respond to the needs related to home-school travel, increasing the quality of urban space and safety for all road users, in this case the youngest. They detailed the analyzes carried out, the constraints, the opportunities and the next planned activities. The councillors, sharing the spirit of the project, asked questions concerning some specific aspects, including the crossing of the markets and the connection between the cycle path and the school or meeting place of the neighbourhood; proposals have been made to modify parts of the route. The offices provided answers to all questions, declaring themselves available for meetings before starting the works.
