Agenda: “Project of the cycle paths of Viale Legioni Romane and Via Saint Bon”.

Councilor Marco Granelli will be present.

OUTCOME:

The technical offices illustrated the reasons that led to the creation of the cycle routes along the Viale Legioni Romane, Via Zurigo, Va Berna and Via Saint Bon axis. Some citizen committees have raised their complaints about the projects, especially regarding Via Lucerna and Saint Bon and, specifically, the decision to make Via Lucerna one-way, transferring part of the on-street parking previously present on Via Saint Bon, where a cycle path has been created. Both the Diagnostic Center and the Military Hospital insist on this latter route, which in this last period has become an anti-Covid-19 vaccination centre. Both facilities are mostly frequented by elderly or disabled people who arrive by car and the removal of parking spaces, to the detriment of the cycle path, creates very intricate situations of traffic congestion. Some Councilors and the Presidents of Municipalities 6 and 7 intervened, then the Councilor for Mobility, who provided the appropriate answers and declared that he will take into account some of the suggestions made by those present, to improve the situation, while keeping the reasons alive which led to the creation of cycle paths.
