OUTCOME:

 

President Bossi and the Manager of the "Common Space" in Via Iseo clarified that this space was created with the aim of providing citizens with opportunities to meet and socialize through the proposal of recreational activities, public meetings and free courses of different types.
They also highlighted the need for additional staff to be assigned to ensure the reopening of the space following the lockdown imposed by the Covid-19 health emergency.
A debate followed during which some specific points were explored in depth.

Agenda: Inspection to view the temporary modules set up to host the students of the ICS Console Marcello institute located in Via Pizzigoni 9. The Councilor for School Buildings Paolo Limonta will be present.

OUTCOME:

The Commission, with the presence of the Councilor for School Buildings, went to view the temporary modules created to accommodate the students of the ICS Console Marcello institute, located in Via Pizzigoni n. 9. The Councilors visited these spaces, currently under construction, which will host the students during the extraordinary maintenance works that will affect the school building.

Agenda:Regional Law on Urban Regeneration. The following were invited to the Commission's work:

OUTCOME:

The Councilor, with the help of slides, illustrated the salient points of Regional Law no. 18 of 26 November 2019, highlighting what repercussions it may have on the Milan area. He underlined the danger that the application of this legislation represents in a city like Milan and therefore invited the councilors to engage in a debate in this sense. He also indicated in general the consequent measures that the Administration will submit to the Council to limit some effects of the Law, while remaining within the spaces permitted by it. The councilors intervened, mostly expressing their opposition to the regional measure and urging us to open an in-depth debate on the matter. The President highlighted how the topic must be further explored during subsequent sessions.

OUTCOME:

The leaders of SEA and Airport Handling, the Councilor for Mobility, as well as the airport union representatives, described the dramatic situation of job uncertainty of Airport Handling employees, caused both by the health emergency, but above all by the decisions taken by Alitalia, regarding the management of work "on the ground", in the Lombardy ports. At the end, the President of the Transport Commission declared that a document signed by all the political forces will be presented to the Council as soon as possible, which requests intervention on Alitalia at a government level, so that the provisions of the existing contract between Alitalia and Airport Handling, to protect jobs.

Agenda: Presentation of the Serological Surveillance testing project for SARS-COV-2 infection using fingerstick testing in Milan school pupils. They will be present:

OUTCOME:
The professor. Gian Vincenzo Zuccotti, of the L. Sacco Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences and Director of the Pediatric Clinic of the V. Buzzi Hospital, presented the experimental project of "Serological Surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 infection", illustrating methods, timing, costs and effectiveness. COV-14”, intended for students of Milanese schools. There were 9,00 schools selected and the cost of each single test was €50; Furthermore, a greater extension was hoped for both to students excluded from the first survey and to teaching and non-teaching staff. The result of the sample acquired (6% of the six thousand kits distributed) was the following: positivity of 3%, in children between 4 and six years old; 11%, between six and eleven years old and XNUMX%, in the age group between eleven and eighteen years old. Despite some difficulties in using the dedicated kit on the part of the families involved, the feedback from them was very favorable as confirmed by the manager of the Pizzigoni Comprehensive Institute.

Agenda: Art in public space: deliberation of guidelines and establishment of a dedicated office. They will be present:

OUTCOME:

In the presence of the Councilor for Culture and the top executives of the Culture Directorate, the guidelines for the establishment of an office dedicated to the coordination of authorization procedures, in collaboration with the other Directorates, for the production of works of art were presented. art conceived and created in public spaces, understood as places of community and sharing, outside of traditional exhibition spaces. The councilors were able to delve deeper into the implementation of this new service with observations and questions which were answered extensively and comprehensively.
