Agenda: Presentation of the social campaign against gender violence organized by the Interuniversity Research Center "Gender Cultures". Will be present:  Sveva Magaraggia – Associate Professor – Bicocca University  

OUTCOME:

The project manager of the Inter-University Research Center for Gender Cultures illustrated the awareness campaign against gender violence aimed at students of six Milanese universities. The Commission therefore discussed the possibility of opening a desk within university facilities dedicated to these issues and took into consideration the prospect of extending the project to the city's schools as well.

Consultation for People with Disabilities (Chaired by Doctor Elena)
Agenda: return meeting with the Mayor's Cabinet, 2020 work objectives, opinions on the budget.

OUTCOME:

In the presence of the Director and an official of the Administrative Services of the Social Policies Directorate, some clarifications and insights were held on the destination of the funds present in the municipal budget, intended for services aimed at people with disabilities, in particular towards minors and support for their families. Afterwards, the President of the Council reported to those present on the recent meeting with the Mayor's Cabinet, in light of the work objectives for the current year.

Housing-Public Works Council Commission, Erp (Chaired by Councilor D'Amico Simonetta)
Agenda: inspection of the Figino district. The participation of Councilor Gabriele Rabaiotti, Eng. Francesco Tarricone of the Municipality of Milan and the Arch. Giordana Ferri Executive Director of the Social Housing Foundation and Dr. Luciana Pacucci.
The meeting of the Members is set at 10.30 am in Via Giovanni Rasario n. 14 where they will go by their own means.

OUTCOME:

The councilors went to Borgo Sostenibile located in the Figino district in order to take a look at the neighborhood. The representative of the Social Housing Foundation illustrated the main characteristics of the village, giving specifics on the various types of rental contracts present. Representatives of the inhabitants spoke to highlight some inefficiencies that had been present for some years and had never been remedied despite repeated reports sent to the property. The Councilor also intervened to underline the usefulness of the model represented by the Borgo for the city of Milan from a social and housing point of view. The commissioners went to view the Assisted Village, a building that houses a co-working space, a day center for Alzheimer's patients, RST apartments and others dedicated to the "Alzheimer Village".

Council Commission for Social Policies and Health Services, Volunteering (Chaired by Councilor Vasile Angelica)
Agenda: Presentation of the Hikikomori Italia Parents Association, Piedmont Protocol and Emilia Romagna Health Protocol. Eng. will be present. Elena Carolei President of the Association and two volunteers.

OUTCOME:

The President of the Hikikomori Italia Parents Association explained the characteristics of this discomfort which mainly affects young males aged 17 to 25-30 and which leads them to lock themselves up at home. You then answered the Councillors' questions. From them and the President arose the hypothesis of forming a working table on the topic, with the aim of signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Lombardy Region, the Regional School Office and the Association, on the model of the one already established in Piedmont and in Cesena.

Council Commission for Security and Social Cohesion, Local Police (Chaired by Councilor Pantaleo Rosario)
Agenda: "Situation of the Viale Puglia market and control activities by the local police". They will be present:

  • the Deputy Mayor-Councillor for Security: Anna Scavuzzo
  • the Commander of the Local Police: Marco Ciacci

OUTCOME:

The Security Councilor and the Deputy Commander of the Local Police provided specifications regarding the interventions carried out on Viale Puglie and the surrounding areas; the areas were the subject of interventions coordinated by the Local Police, the Carabinieri, the Financial Police and the State Police through checks inside and outside the market area. The Councilors raised their doubts on the merits and some of them asked for immediate remedial action.

Council Commission for Culture (Chaired by Councilor Turco Angelo)
Agenda:  “Musical Afternoons: new directions for activities and management”. They will be present:

OUTCOME:

The Councilor and the guests focused on the new management and activity directions that the "Pomeriggi Musicali" Foundation intends to take, also announcing the Foundation's intention to leave the management of the Arcimboldi Theater to another entrepreneur in the sector to follow the development of music and the management of the Dal Verme Theatre.

Joint Council Commission on Institutional Affairs, Metropolitan City-Municipalities and Participation, Popular Initiative, Open Data (Chaired by Councilor Censi Arianna and Councilor Bossi Emilia)
Agenda: Update of participation rights regulations "      Councilor Lipparini will be present.

OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Participation and Active Citizenship highlighted the need to update the regulation on popular participation rights, to further increase the contribution of citizens in the management of the Municipality and by including the fruit of the experiments carried out in this area in recent years. Furthermore, the Commissioners were invited to make suggestions and collaborate in drafting the update of this regulation.

Joint Council Commission Mobility-Transport-Environmental Policies-Energy-Civil Protection-Animals-Green and International Affairs-Post Expo-European Policies (Chaired by Councilor Monguzzi Carlo and Councilor Pacente Carmine)
Agenda:“The European “Green Deal”  and the impact on cities”. Will be present at the hearing:     Francesco Laera, Official of the European Commission  

OUTCOME:

The themes included in the "European Green Deal" project, presented during the session, essentially concern all sectors of the economy (energy, building renovation, green economy and sustainable mobility) and have the objective of drastically reducing, in the long term, completely eliminate air pollution and significantly contribute to combating the climate emergency. The interventions that followed have highlighted the non-deferrability of any possible initiative aimed at this purpose and highlighted the fundamental role of cities in pursuing the identified objectives. Particular attention was also paid to the social issues that the intentions and objectives that the European Union has set itself with this ten-year plan could trigger.
