Council Commission for Social Policies and Health Services, Volunteering (Chaired by Councilor Vasile Angelica)
Agenda:  inspection at the Pio Istituto dei Sordi in via Giasone del Maino -16, for an in-depth analysis of the Institute's activities and the collaboration with the Social Policies Commission. They will be present:

  • the President Dr. Daniele Donzelli 
  • the Director Dr. Stefano Cattaneo.


The meeting of the Members is set at 11.00am in Via Giasone del Maino, 16 where they will go by their own means.

OUTCOME:

The Commissioners paid a visit to the headquarters of the Pio Istituto dei Sordi where the President of the same illustrated the activity of this body, aimed mainly at supporting, including economically, projects aimed at people with hearing disabilities. The Councilors were able to express their appreciation for the work of the Pio Institute and expressed their desire to collaborate with this foundation.

Council Commission for Urban Planning, Private Construction, Milanese Agricultural System (Chaired by Councilor Ceccarelli Bruno)
Agenda: “Future of former Trotto areas”. The following were invited to the Commission's work:

  • Councilor Pierfrancesco Maran,      
  • the Arch. Giancarlo Tancredi Director of Thematic Planning and Area Enhancement Area 
  • Dr. Mario Abadessa representing the property.

OUTCOME:

In the presence of the managers of the Thematic Planning and Area Enhancement Area, as well as the highest representatives of the property, the presentation of the urban planning indications relating to the former Trotto di San Siro areas took place. Also present at the session were several citizen committees who put forward their priorities as residents of the neighborhood. The different implementation possibilities were addressed, both from a housing perspective and from an urban development perspective of such a strategically important area for the city of Milan.

Council Commission for Labor Policies, Economic Development, Productive Activities, Commerce, Human Resources, Fashion - Design (Presided over by Councilor Specchio Laura)
Agenda: Situation of the Museum Services Workers of the Pinacoteca di Brera. Delegates of Museum Services Workers and Trade Unions will participate.

OUTCOME:

The speakers from the Chamber of Labor and the Pinacoteca di Brera, invited to the Commission, provided specifics relating to the critical situation affecting 16 workers of the Pinacoteca di Brera due to the change of contract; the so-called "Social Clause" which guarantees employment continuity and stability is not clear in the tender notice. The Councilors expressed their reflections on the merits and asked some questions to which exhaustive answers were given.

Joint Council Commission for Urban Planning, Private Construction, Milanese Agricultural System and Mobility, Transport, Environmental Policies, Energy, Civil Protection, Animals, Green (Chaired by Councilor Ceccarelli Bruno and Councilor Monguzzi Carlo)
Agenda: "In light of the declaration of climate and environmental emergency, the Administration's measures relating to the Energy sector". They will be present:

  • Councilor Marco Granelli;
  • representatives of A2A;
  • representatives of universities, the world of work, Fraday's for Future and environmental associations.

OUTCOME:

The CEO of A2A, the Councilor for the Environment and the Head of the Resilient Cities Department of the Municipality, illustrated the actions implemented to deal with the climate emergency, also answering the questions of the Councilors and representatives of the Associations present.

Council Commission Mobility, Transport, Environmental Policies, Energy, Civil Protection, Animals, Green (Chaired by Councilor Monguzzi Carlo)
Agenda: inspection  At Trotter Park. Representatives of the Friends of Trotter Park Committee and the school director will be present. Via Giacosa 46.
The meeting of the Members is set at 10.30am   Via Giacosa 46 where they will go by their own means.

OUTCOME:

The Friends of the Trotter Park Committee explained what in its opinion are the needs to make the Trotter Park an attraction for the citizens of Milan, while the Headmaster of the school housed inside highlighted the critical issues that need to be resolved. The offices have provided clarifications and indicated which interventions are being concluded and which, however, will need to be planned in the near future. The councilors and other participants agreed on the need to safeguard this area and make it usable, keeping in mind that the priority remains that linked to the school function.

Joint Council Commission for Verification-Control of Participatory Bodies and Education, Education, University and Research (Chaired by Councilor De Pasquale Fabrizio and Councilor Limonta Paolo)
Agenda: Satisfaction survey of school lunch services and dishes included in seasonal menus. They will be present:

  • Councilor Laura Galimberti,
  • the President of Milano Ristorazione Dr. Bernardo Lucio Notarangelo 
  • Dr. Sandra Bruno of the Piepoli Institute.  

OUTCOME:

The Councilor and the guests clarified that the survey in question, which involved 27 primary schools, confirmed that pasta and pizza remain the first courses most appreciated by children as well as meat-based second courses. They also pointed out that the side dishes maintain a partial level of satisfaction and that the Sicilian red fruit juice and bananas are very popular.
It was also made known that for the 2018/2019 school year the survey also involved 79 teachers who in the majority of cases (60%) rated the quality of the school lunch service offered as sufficient.
A debate followed during which the Councilors asked questions to which the Councilor and the guests provided answers.
