Council Commission for EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND CIVIL RIGHTS (Chaired by Councilor De Marchi Diana)
Agenda: inspection" at the “Mai da Sole” Anti-Violence Center of the CeAS and visit to the Refuge House for women and mothers victims of domestic violence in Viale Giuseppe    Marotta, 8 (Entrance from Via Padre Morell) stop MM 2 Crescenzago.

There will be:

  • Dr. Viviana Pruiti – Coordinator of the Refuge House.

OUTCOME:

The Commissioners went to the headquarters of the CeAS "Mai da Sole" Anti-Violence Center, where they viewed the association's headquarters and were able to obtain information on the ways in which this structure operates and the number of women who turn to it . They also visited the Refuge House, located in the same building, dedicated to women and mothers who are victims of violence.

Agenda: Reflections on the Welfare Plan and future steps regarding Social Policies

Update on ongoing initiatives

OUTCOME:

The attention of those present was essentially focused on some limits, for the part relating to services intended for disabled people and their families, of the Welfare Plan. The difficulties to which they are exposed on a daily basis, especially at a local level, in obtaining dedicated services were highlighted; the ISEE criterion was found to be insufficient, as a condition for access to the reference municipal service network; contested the principle of the budget constraint on the offering of services (no relative increase in spending is foreseen in the budget forecast just approved by the Chamber) and the incomprehensibility of the items concerning the dedicated spending chapters; lack of visibility and little advertising of the network of services aimed at people with disabilities was complained about. Some cultural initiatives on the world of disability were also presented, especially a short-medium film.

Joint Council Commission CULTURE AND VERIFICATION AND CONTROL OF PARTICIPATED BODIES (Chaired by the Councilor Turco Angelo and De Pasquale Fabrizio)
Agenda: "Budget of the Teatro alla Scala Foundation and 2019-2020 activity plan".

OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Culture and the Superintendent of the Teatro alla Scala illustrated the budget and activities of the Teatro alla Scala to the Commission. They therefore responded to the requests for information made by the Councillors.

Joint Council Commission HOME - PUBLIC WORKS, ERP AND URBAN PLANNING, PRIVATE BUILDING, MILAN AGRICULTURAL SYSTEM (Chaired by Councilor D'Amico Simonetta and Ceccarelli Bruno)
Agenda:  "The city for rent. The PGT and the measures to support renting".

OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Urban Planning presented the tools contained in the PGT to make measures regarding public residential construction more effective, articulating the housing offer and social housing in order to encourage temporary living and subsidized rent.
The Housing Councilor integrated the presentation by providing information regarding the matter within his competence.
The Commissioners presented some requests for clarification and observations to which the two representatives of the Council responded promptly.

Council Commission WORK POLICIES, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES, TRADE, HUMAN RESOURCES, FASHION AND DESIGN (Presided by Councilor Specchio Laura)
Agenda:  Presentation of the research 'New Neighborhood Shops'. Will participate:

  • Dr. Anna Meda, Strategic Designer, Futureberry
  • Dr. Giulia Tosoni, Staff of the Department of Labour/Commerce/Production Activities

OUTCOME:

The offices and guests illustrated the contents of the research regarding the new neighborhood shops, explaining the objectives, questions and trends that emerged. They then focused on the results that emerged regarding Milan. They explained the guidelines to be used in the future by the Administration in order to offer valid support to these exercises. The councilors made some considerations and asked some questions to understand some parts of the reports more specifically; the guests responded fully to these.

Council Commission TOURISM, TERRITORIAL MARKETING, WELL-BEING, SPORT AND LEISURE (Presided over by Councilor Marco Fumagalli)
Agenda: “Evaluation report on the 2026 Olympics and Milan's candidacy”  

Will be present:  Roberta Guaineri – Councilor for Sports, Wellness Tourism

OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Sport, Tourism and Wellbeing provided specifications relating to the IOC evaluation report regarding Milan's candidacy for the 2026 Olympics; highlighted both that “Milano Cortina” meets all the criteria and the points that need further investigation. The Councilors expressed their doubts on the merits.

Council Commission for VERIFICATION AND CONTROL OF PARTICIPATED ENTITIES (Chaired by Councilor De Pasquale Fabrizio)
Agenda: “Transparency and problems relating to A2A bills”. Dr. Andrea Cavallini from A2A will be present.

OUTCOME:

The President and CEO of A2A Energia illustrated the ways in which electricity and gas bills are drawn up, as established by the Energy Authority, providing clarifications and clarifications on the various items and the terms used therein. Furthermore, in collaboration with the Energy Customer Service Manager, he responded comprehensively to all the questions posed on the subject by the Councillors.

Joint Council Commission for CULTURE and VERIFICATION AND CONTROL OF PARTICIPATED BODIES (Chaired by Councilor Turco Angelo and Councilor De Pasquale Fabrizio)
Agenda:  "Lombardy Film Commission".

OUTCOME:

The Councilor and the President of the "Lombardia Film Commission" clarified that the Foundation, whose members are now the Municipality of Milan and the Lombardy Region, was established to promote the Lombardy region, develop its industrial sector and services in the film sector - audio - visual and multimedia.
A debate followed during which some Councilors expressed doubts regarding the operations that led to the purchase, by the Lombardia Film Commission, of a property located in the Municipality of Cormano.
The Councilor provided clarifications within his sphere of competence.

SUBURBAN Council Commission (Chaired by Councilor Osculati Roberta)
Agenda:"Evaluations and considerations on the 2018 Suburbs Notice and presentation of the new 2019 Neighborhoods Notice".

Speakers include:

  • Eng. Corrado Bina, Director of the Neighborhood Plan Project    
  • Lawyer Mirko Mazzali, Mayor's Delegate to the Suburbs.

OUTCOME:

The Director of the Neighborhood Plan Project and the Delegate for the Suburbs presented the new 2019 Neighborhood Call, which this year directly collects ideas from the Municipalities, two projects for each of them. Furthermore, this year Municipality No. 1 was also involved. The Councilors proposed new criteria for involving other proponents next year, suggestions which were duly taken into consideration by those responsible for the Plan.
