Agenda:"Continuation of the debate. Projects, calls and institutional paths accessible to third sector associations and entities present in the city area". The Councilor for Social and Housing Policies, Gabriele Rabaiotti, will be present.

OUTCOME:

The Housing Councilor provided responses to the requests for clarification presented by the Commissioners and representatives of the Third Sector associations in the previous session, on the same agenda, on 5 November.
Further questions were asked and some critical issues were exposed regarding the methods of assigning spaces for social use, to which the Councilor responded promptly.

Council Commission for Verification and Control of Investee Bodies (Chaired by Councilor De Pasquale Fabrizio)
Agenda: “Hearing of the A2A-Unareti companies for disservices on the electricity grid and investments in the Milan electricity grid”.

OUTCOME:

The hearing of the top executives of the A2A and Unareti companies took place in relation to the service interruptions of the Milanese electricity network, recorded in the city during last summer. The councilors present asked in-depth questions on the causes, both structural and functional, underlying the disservice, acquiring information on the logistical aspects that structure the management of the emergency plan implemented in the moments of maximum frequency of fault reporting.

Anti-Mafia Council Commission (Chaired by Councilor Gentili David)
Agenda: “Continuation of the Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate Report for the second half of 2018.” Colonel Piergiorgio Samaja Head of Milan Dia headquarters will speak. The commission will be  behind closed doors

The meeting took place behind closed doors; consequently it is not possible to publish the contents of the meeting.

Council Commission for Social Policies and Health Services, Volunteering (Chaired by Councilor Vasile Angelica)
Agenda: “Presentation of the double A project: Autism and Athletics – Meneghina Athletic Association for the social sector.” The following will be present as speakers:

  • Stefano Auletta and Beatrice Zuffi of the Meneghina Athletic Association. 

OUTCOME:

The President and another member of the "Meneghina Athletics for Social" Association explained the aims and progress achieved in 7 years. They explored the aspect linked to their action aimed at trying to include children with autism in a broader social context and explained the methods, depending on the subjects, through which they try to be involved through the lever of athletics. The councilors expressed their satisfaction with the intentions advocated by the Association and asked questions aimed at understanding some details; they also ensured their commitment to providing guidance and support necessary to facilitate the work of the Association. This, after having clarified what was requested, formulated two requests in the hope that they can be accepted by the Administration.

Joint Council Commission for Verification - Control of Participatory Bodies and Education, Education, University, Research (Chaired by Councilor De Pasquale Fabrizio and Councilor Limonta Paolo)
Agenda: Update on the school building situation"    Participants will be:

  • Councilor Laura Galimberti;
  • Franco Zinna, Director of Neighborhoods and Municipalities;    
  • Simone Dragone, President of MM Spa 
  • Stefano Cetti, General Director of MM Spa.

OUTCOME:

Councilor Galimberti reports on the situation relating to the state of maintenance of the city's schools, underlining, also on the basis of the very recent publication of the state of conservation of the country's school buildings, the delays accumulated over time and the age of almost the structures in question intended purpose. From the debate and subsequent replies, what emerged was the urgency of significantly increasing the appropriations to be allocated to ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, the opportunity to develop new methodologies for coordinating reports, financing needs and related interventions, the duty to address the matter from a political-administrative point of view.
