Suburban Council Commission (Chaired by Councilor Roberta Osculati)
Agenda: "Neighborhood Plan Update". They will be present:

  • Mario Vanni, Chief of Staff of the Mayor;
  • Christian Malangone, General Director;
  • Lawyer Mirko Mazzali, Mayor's Delegate to the Suburbs

OUTCOME:

The Offices illustrated the two phases that characterized the Neighborhood Plan, clarifying that during the first phase (November 2018) 9 meetings were organized in the 9 Municipalities, which saw the participation of 3.300 citizens and the collection of 3.391 reports to the which the Municipality has responded to. During the second phase (from April 2019), meetings were organized in the neighborhoods in which more than 1000 citizens took part. They also clarified that the funds available for the priorities indicated by citizens amount to 200 million euros.
A debate followed during which the Councilors asked questions and asked for clarifications to which the Offices provided answers.

at 11.00 am - Inspection
Tourism-Territorial Marketing-Wellbeing-Sport and Leisure Council Commission (Chaired by Councilor Fumagalli Marco Carlo)

Agenda: Inspection in Via Gerolamo Cardano, 3: Hotel “Four Points by Sheraton Milan Center” for meeting with the President of Federalberghi, Maurizio Naro. They will be present:  

  • Director of the Sport/Tourism Area: Mario Almasio;  
  • Officials of the Tourism Department;
  • President of Federalberghi: Maurizio Naro
  • some councilors

OUTCOME: 

The visit route covered the Marriot Hotel group hotel located in the Central Station area. During the inspection, the President of Federalberghi and his Deputy, after recalling the history of the structure being visited, complained about the unfair competition of a significant part of the BNB system and made the request to exert the necessary pressure on the competent authorities, until immediately, with the aim of achieving more stringent regulation of the sector. The need to delve deeper into the topic during a joint session of the Culture and Sport Commissions as soon as possible was considered.

Council Commission on Mobility, Transport, Environmental Policies, Energy, Civil Protection, Animals and Green (Chaired by Councilor Monguzzi Carlo)
Agenda: Situation of the trees in Via Filarete.

OUTCOME:

During the session, the representatives of the Citizens' Committee of via Filarete, as well as the officials of Municipality 1 who are dealing with the case, were heard regarding the request for the removal of trees present along the aforementioned road, made by Trenord S.r.l, as they would constitute prejudice to the adjacent railway line. During the debate, some councilors who have been following the issue for years made some proposals to establish a discussion table between the parties, based on scientific assessments carried out by accredited experts.

Joint Council Commission on Equal Opportunities and Civil Rights and Education, Education, University and Research (Chaired by Councilor De Marchi Diana and Councilor Limonta Paolo)
Agenda:"Presentation of the space in via Don Carlo San Martino; a service that guarantees social inclusion, access to school and combating school dropout". They will be present:

  • Councilor Gabriele Rabaiotti 
  • Dr. Sabina Banfi, Director of the School and Educational Services Area.

OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Social Policies, the Director of the Rights - Inclusion - Projects Area and the Director of the School Services Area provided specifications regarding the space in via Don Carlo San Martino whose objective is to encourage better integration of citizens of third countries regularly residing residents involved in family reunification processes through the strengthening and systematization of information, orientation, mediation and accompaniment services, with particular attention to those in the social area and in the educational and scholastic area. The Councilors asked questions on the merits which were given comprehensive answers.

Council Commission for Institutional Affairs, Metropolitan City and Municipality (Chaired by Councilor Censi Arianna)
Agenda: Sustainability projects for the Municipalities of the Metropolitan City of Milan. The following will participate in the commission:

  • the  dr. Emilio De Vita, Director of the Environment Sector
  • Dr. Maria Cristina Pinoschi; Manager of the Infrastructure Sector

OUTCOME:

The Directors of the Environment and Infrastructure Sectors of the Metropolitan City of Milan presented the sustainability projects that the organization has prepared, as well as for purposes relating to its own activity, to provide cutting-edge and innovative tools in environmental and protection matters of the territory to all the Municipalities of the metropolitan area.
The Commissioners presented some requests for clarification to which timely responses were provided.

at 9.30 am - Inspection
Council Commission for Social Policies and Health Services - Volunteering (Chaired by Councilor Vasile Angelica)
Agenda: inspection at the headquarters of the Terre des Hommes Italia ONLUS Foundation in Via Matteo Maria Boiardo 6 (MM1 TURRO) where the manager Dr. Paolo Ferrara will show the structure and present the ongoing projects.
The meeting of the Members is set at 09.30am  Via Matteo Maria Boiardo 6 (MM1 Turro)  where they will go by their own means.

OUTCOME:

The Commissioners paid a visit to the headquarters of the Terre des Hommes Foundation where they were illustrated with the activity it carries out to support unaccompanied minors and families with minors who land in Italy. Furthermore, the association has ongoing projects to prevent violence against minors and for interventions aimed at helping children who suffer it. The Councilors were able to express their appreciation for the activity carried out there and expressed their intention to support the work of the foundation.

Joint Council Commission on Budget, Taxes, State Property and Procurement; Urban Planning, Private Construction, Milanese Agricultural System and Territorial Tourism-Marketing, Wellbeing, Sport and Leisure (Presided over by Councilor Conte Emmanuel, Councilor Ceccarelli Bruno and Councilor Fumagalli Marco Carlo)
Agenda: Meeting with AC Milan and Inter teams for the presentation of the "Enhancement of the San Siro Area" project. Participants will be:

  • Sports Councilor Roberta Guaineri;
  • Budget Councilor Roberto Tasca;
  • Councilor for urban planning Pierfrancesco Maran;
  • Director of the Civic Services Directorate, Participation
  • and Sport Andrea Zuccotti;
  • Area Director Giancarlo Tancredi;
  • Deputy Area Director Simona Collarini.

OUTCOME:

The representatives of the two teams expressed the reasons for the public convenience of the project to demolish the current G. Meazza Stadium and the construction, in an adjacent location, of a new one, with also various redevelopment works of the entire urban sector. The Councilors asked questions regarding the real convenience for the Municipality to declare the public utility of this project. The President of the Planning Commission finally postponed the discussion to a future session.

Council Commission for Urban Planning, Private Construction, Milanese Agricultural System (Chaired by Councilor Ceccarelli Bruno)

  • Agenda: Counter-arguments to the observations and definitive approval of the new Plan Document, of the variant of the Service Plan, including the Plan for Religious Equipment, and of the variant of the Rules Plan, constituting the Territorial Government Plan, pursuant to and for the purposes of the 'art. 13 of the Regional Law 11 March 2005 n. 12 and subsequent amendments." – continuation of the commission work of 20 September The following will participate in the Commission: Councilor Pierfrancesco Maran,
  • the Director of the Urban Planning Department Arch. Simona Collarini,
  • the Arch. Marino Bottini,
  • the lawyer Giovanna Villa,
  • the Arch. Pietro Mario Romano Guermandi.

OUTCOME:

The Offices continued to illustrate the counter-deductions to the observations of the variations to the PGT, focusing on and delving into some more qualifying points. The councilors asked questions aimed at understanding the scope of any changes to which the offices provided complete answers. The commissioners also asked for the possibility of obtaining more specifications in order to prepare any amendments when the provision is discussed in the City Council. The offices have ensured full collaboration and are committed to ensuring that the text is easy to interpret.
