Agenda: Inspection at the Milan Opera Prison - via Camporgnago,40 - specifically at the Advanced Sailing Treatment and the SERD

OUTCOME: 

The Councilors first spoke with the Director of the Opera Prison and with those responsible for the "Vela" project, for the assistance of drug-addicted prisoners, in relation to which a lack of resources was highlighted, which will be discussed shortly during a 'special meeting at Palazzo Marino, in the presence of AST managers. The Subcommission then visited the prison department that houses the inmates included in the project.

Joint Council Commission Suburbs and Innovation, Transparency, Digital Agenda, Civil Status(Chaired by the Councilors Osculati Roberta and Arienta Alice)
Agenda: Presentation of the "Collaboration Agreements" in the peripheral neighborhoods of San Siro and Corvetto"

OUTCOME:

The Councilor and the Associations described in depth the proposal for the Collaboration Agreements, focusing in particular on those implemented in via Abbiati (S. Siro) and Mompiani (Corvetto). They explained the role of the Administration, the Associations and the citizens in implementing actions that make the streets of the neighborhoods more liveable. The councilors, after expressing their appreciation for these projects, underlined the need to activate some channels so that these projects do not remain limited to the aesthetic and furnishing aspect of the neighborhoods, but can go deeper to the point of also involving daily life of the inhabitants. The Councilor expressed agreement with these observations and communicated the Administration's desire to establish a permanent dialogue with MM and ALER.

Joint Council Commission Urban planning, private construction, Milanese agricultural system and mobility, transport, environmental policies, civil protection, animals and greenery (Chaired by Councilors Ceccarelli Bruno and Monguzzi Carlo)
Agenda: "Presentation of the outcome of the Scalo Farini and San Cristoforo masterplan competition"

OUTCOME:

The authors of the regeneration projects of the former Farini and San Cristoforo railway yards should have participated in this session, but were unable to attend due to sudden commitments that had occurred in the meantime. The related in-depth analysis is therefore postponed to another date. In any case, some requests have been made regarding the proposed children's park at the former Scalo Farini and about the roads to be reconfigured in parallel with the regeneration projects.

Council Commission for Tourism, Territorial Marketing, Wellbeing, Sport and Leisure (Chaired by Councilor Fumagalli Marco Carlo)
Agenda: Piazza Mercanti 2-at the Visitor Center of Palazzo Giureconsulti.
Will be present:  the Director of Smart City: Luca Martinazzoli
 
OUTCOME: The Director of Smart City and the Offices illustrated the steps that led to the creation of the Visitor Center, as the result of the partnership between the Municipality and the Chamber of Commerce. They explored the purposes of the structure which is one of the information points for tourists. They explained the corporate composition of the Smart City association and its role. The councilors asked some questions regarding the risk that this association could carry out tasks that up to now have been carried out very well by the municipal staff and that, therefore, the matter of hospitality and tourist information could be managed by a structure external to the Municipality . They also requested information regarding the adaptation of the offer of services on digital platforms. The interlocutors responded fully and provided reassurances regarding the permanence of the reception and information service within the Municipality, while Smart City will have to amplify the Municipality's offers and find external economic resources.

Joint Council Commission Equal opportunities and civil rights and Prisons, Penalties and Restrictions (Chaired by Councilors Pirovano Anita and De Marchi Diana Alessandra)
Agenda: Presentation of the project "The way out" to combat gender violence being implemented in the Milanese penal institutes.
There will be:

OUTCOME:

The project "The way out" for the fight against to gender violence to be implemented in Milanese detention centers.
A lively debate followed, mainly focused on the causes of gender violence and the tools to be able to eradicate this problem.
At the end of the session, the Presidents announced that the project will be monitored during its progress with the convening of subsequent Commission sessions.

Council Commission Urban planning, private construction, Milanese agricultural system (Chaired by Councilor Ceccarelli Bruno)
Agenda: Best practices for safeguarding the water system and reducing water consumption in new buildings.
The following were invited to the commission's work: Councilor Pierfrancesco Maran, Arch. Franco Zinna, the representatives of CAP Holding, MM Servizio Idrico and Ing. Masella Luigi College of Engineers and Architects of Milan.

OUTCOME:

Technicians from Metropolitana Milanese and CAP Holding illustrated the operational methods and ongoing and future projects of their companies relating to wastewater treatment within the Metropolitan City.

Agenda: 
Balance sheet of work carried out and preparation of illustrative report to be sent to the City Council.
Preparation for meeting with Budget and State Property Councilor Roberto Tasca.
Updates on working groups.

OUTCOME:

During the session, the members analysed, one year after the establishment of the Council, the experience carried out so far, highlighting acquisitions and critical issues. Afterwards, the state of the relationship between the Council itself and the various institutional bodies of the Municipality was observed, with a view to preparing a report to the Municipal Council. The members were thus able to express their opinions and different expectations for intervention.

Agenda: Inspection at FabriQ - Via Val Trompia 45, Social Innovation incubator of the Municipality of Milan.

OUTCOME: 

 The Commissioners visited FabriQ, the social incubator of the Municipality of Milan, located in via Val Trompia, 45 managed, since 2014, operationally by the Giacomo Brodolini Foundation and Impact Hub Milano, which supports new and future entrepreneurs to carry out value-added projects social, environmental and cultural. During the meeting several young people had the opportunity to present their projects.

OUTCOME:

The Councilors viewed the renovated Palalido facility, which will be inaugurated in mid-June, with a capacity of 5.300 spectators.

Agenda:"Planning of summer activities 2019".
Councilor Laura Galimberti and Dr. Sabrina Banfi will be present.

OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Education illustrated the programming of the 2019 summer activities of the Holiday Homes of the Municipality of Milan. He therefore provided a response to the Directors' requests for information made in this regard.
