Agenda: “Update on “Milano Partecipa”. The Councilor for Participation, Active Citizenship and Open Data Lorenzo Lipparini will be present.

OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Participation, Active Citizenship and Open Data provided specifications relating to "Milano Partecipa", the first event dedicated to civic activism in the digital age; an event promoted by the Municipality of Milan and the Cariplo Foundation which was created with the aim of stimulating discussion and participation in public life. The Councilors asked questions on the merits which were given exhaustive answers.

Joint Council Commission for Urban Planning, Private Construction, Milanese Agricultural System and Territorial Tourism-Marketing, Wellbeing, Sport and Leisure (Chaired by Councilor Ceccarelli Bruno and Councilor Fumagalli Marco Carlo)
Agenda: RESOLUTION N. 168 CIRC. 267 One Stop Shop Area for Construction Acquisition to the municipal heritage of the building better known as "Palasharp" located in Via Antonio Sant'Elia 33 pursuant to art. 31, paragraph 5 of the Presidential Decree. 380/2001 and subsequent amendments. The measure does not involve any expense. They will be present:

OUTCOME:

The Councilors and Offices have clarified that the provision in question resolves, in compliance with urban planning standards, the acquisition of Palasharp, a site subject to numerous resolutions by previous municipal councils and numerous provisions, to the municipal administration's assets. of a judicial nature. It was also remembered that the structure will host the women's hockey competitions at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
A debate followed during which clarifications were requested to which the Councilors and Offices provided answers. At the end the Presidents declared resolution no. discussed. 168 which will be submitted to the City Council for examination

Agenda: Presentation of the “Manifatture Aperte 2019” project. Will participate:

OUTCOME:

The Councilor and the Offices illustrated the event, now in its second edition, which aims to involve and enhance the artisans of Milan and their activities. Specific data has been provided regarding the registrations and the activities that will be proposed during the two days of the event which will take place at the end of November. The councilors asked questions in order to obtain information on particular aspects, which were answered by the Councilor and the Offices.

Consultation for People with Disabilities (Chaired by Doctor Elena)
Agenda: Inter-departmental discussion to review the priorities on which to converge and work in synergy in the months to come on issues that concern the inclusion of people with disabilities, including the youngest and their families

OUTCOME:

The members of the Council discussed with the Councilor for Social Policies the best strategies to achieve some objectives regarding people with disabilities.

Agenda:an inspection Via Gerolamo Morone 1 at Casa Manzoni. They will be present:

OUTCOME:

The Commission carried out an inspection at the Manzoni House, which was reopened in 2015 after extensive renovation and restoration work. The President of the National Center for Manzonian Studies and the Director of the Braidense National Library underlined the importance of the digitization work of manuscripts, in order to make them public to everyone via the internet.

Agenda: "Presentation of the Manzoni school complex". They will be present:

  • Councilor Laura Galimberti,
  • Dr. Sabina Banfi Director of the School and Educational Services Area 
  • Principal Maria Bernadette Rossi.

OUTCOME:

The Councilor for Education and the Principal of the Civic school center Alessandro Manzoni presented the most peculiar characteristics of the Institute, made up of 40 linguistic high school classes, with 1.021 students, where the following are taught: English, French, German , Spanish and Chinese; from 10 classes of the Technical Institute of Administration, Finance, Marketing, with 234 students. The Commissioners expressed their appreciation for this private school, managed by the Municipality of Milan and asked for clarification regarding the teaching methods, the entrance test and the school contribution paid by families. All questions were answered exhaustively.

Agenda: inspection of Piazza Salgari, Via Venosa and Via Tertulliano: verification of the problems.

Joint Council Commission on Equal Opportunities, Civil Rights and Security - Social Cohesion, Local Police (Chaired by Councilor De Marchi Diana and Councilor Pantaleo Rosario)
Agenda:  Presentation of the “Safety in Pink” female self-defense courses. They will be present:    

  • Deputy Mayor and Security Assessor – Anna Scavuzzo    
  • Local Police Commander – Marco Ciacci

OUTCOME:


In the presence of the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Education, as well as the Commander of the Local Police, the presentation of the personal self-defense courses dedicated to women, held at the Local Police Corps school, took place. From 2012 to today they have seen the participation of around 2000 women. The course is free and is divided into 9 lessons dedicated to understanding and preventing dangerous situations. The councilors present welcomed this experience, now consolidated, hoping for further development in the future.
