Agenda: Presentation of ongoing seminars on well-being, risk and prevention in work in the penal and penitentiary sector dedicated to penitentiary workers and their health.

OUTCOME: 

The Guarantor of detained persons of the Municipality of Milan, the President of the C.I.I.P. (Italian Inter-Associative Council for Prevention), the Director of the San Vittore prison, a representative of the P.R.A.P. (Regional Supervision of the Penitentiary Administration) and other professionals gravitating in the Milanese prison reality illustrated the results of the first seminar and the programs of those already scheduled, intended for penitentiary operators, on the theme of workers' health. Together with a significant interest from operators in the sector and the benefit that such initiatives have on the world of prison, difficulties have emerged regarding the few resources available and the serious situation faced by penitentiary facilities (overcrowding, multi-nationality). Councilor Tajani in turn spoke at length about the Center for the Culture of Prevention in the Workplace and Life in Via Gabriele D'Annunzio.

Council Commission: Culture – Fashion and Design  (Chaired by Councilor Bocci Paola)
Agenda: Design Week report. Public notice for design bequests.
The following will be present: Councilor Cristina Tajani and the General Director of the Salone del Mobile, Dr. Marco Sabetta.

OUTCOME: 

The Councilor for Fashion and Design presented the report relating to the recently concluded "Design Week" which met with considerable satisfaction, considering that at the Rho Pero Fair there were approximately 430.000 entries and approximately 500.000 tourist presences in the city. , in the same period and for the “Fuori Salone” 500 applications for the occupation of public land were presented. The Commissioners expressed their appreciation for the initiative and gave some suggestions for improvement for the next edition.

Council Commission: Social Policies and Health Services - Volunteering (Chaired by Councilor Vasile Angelica) 
Agenda: Presentation of the Design for all course. An inclusive city.
Prof. will be present at the hearing. Stefano Capolongo of the Polytechnic of Milan ABC Department.

OUTCOME: 

The speaker from the Polytechnic of Milan gave specifications regarding the "Design for all" course whose objective is to train designers to ensure that they conceive spaces in such a way as to be usable by all those with different needs and abilities. It also highlights the importance not only of the issue of accessibility but also of social inclusion and equality. The Councilors expressed their reflections and asked questions on the merits to which exhaustive answers were given.

Joint Council Commission: Home – Public Works - Erp and Education - Education - University and Research (Chaired by Councilors D'Amico Simonetta and Limonta Paolo) 
Agenda: Update on the current status of the Ex Convitto Parco Trotter construction site.
Present at the Commission will be:

  • The Councilor for Education and Instruction, Laura Galimberti
  • The Councilor for Public Works and Housing, Gabriele Rabaiotti. 

OUTCOME: 

In the presence of the Councilors for Education and Public Works, an update was held on the recovery project of the former boarding school pavilion, a structure that is part of the school complex located within the Trotter Park. While scrolling through the images, the Councilors summarized the improvements that occurred during the construction work, whose delivery deadlines are scheduled for next June 2018. The Councilors present were thus able to appreciate the complexity of the project original which, in addition to returning new classrooms to the school for teaching activities, will enrich the neighborhood with public spaces intended for entertainment and cultural activities. After an extensive debate that took place in the classroom, the Administrators gave an appointment to the Associations present in the area and to all citizens at an upcoming public meeting to be held at the Trotter Park facilities for a discussion on the management of the property which has just been returned to functionality.
