Agenda: Knowledge and management of religious pluralism in the penal institutions of our city. Illustration of the Simurgh Project for training in religious and cultural diversity and the experience of interreligious discussions.

OUTCOME: 

During the meeting, the Simurgh Project was presented, aimed at understanding and managing religious pluralism in Lombard penal institutions as well as setting itself the objective of preventing "stereotypes of the other" and radicalization processes based on a distorted perception of religion. The recipients of the project are prison administration staff and prisoners.

Agenda: Inspection at the MUBA Children's Museum in Milan at the Rotonda della Besana in via Enrico Besana 12.

OUTCOME:  

The Commissioners examined the structure, divided into two parts: one set up as an exhibition (annually) and one dedicated to a workshop for children, with the use of recycled industrial materials.

Council Commission Equal opportunities and civil rights (Chaired by Councilor De Marchi Diana Alessandra)

Agenda: Presentation and assessment of the Monument Women exhibition, presentation and perspectives of the "Roman Milan seen by women" cycle:

OUTCOME:  

The speakers invited to the Commission gave specifics relating to the series of meetings dedicated to women who dedicated their lives to preserving and saving European cultural heritage; the proposal is to have the possibility of replicating the initiative next year by expanding the range of action. Regarding the "Women's Encyclopedia", it is explained that it is a site that aims to disseminate women's culture, curated by the women themselves. The Councilors asked questions on the merits which were given exhaustive answers.

Council Commission Labor Policies, Economic Development, Productive Activities, Trade, Human Resources, Fashion and Design (Chaired by Councilor Specchio Laura)

Agenda: Illustration of the results of the public notice for cultural and aggregative events relating to the covered municipal markets.

Participants:

OUTCOME: 

The Director of the Trade and Productive Activities Area and the Head of the Commercial Development Projects Unit in the Territory illustrated the initiatives and projects with social purposes that will be carried out in nine covered municipal markets. They therefore provided a response to the Councilors who asked for information on the public notice procedure and the maintenance interventions that will have to affect the covered municipal markets.

Commission Consult for people with disabilities

Agenda: Presentation of draft Welfare plan. Councilor Pierfrancesco Majorino will be present.

Comparison had with Tavolo Permanente: clarity in roles and connection points.

Living theme: how to enhance the poles of the city which are points of proximity between needs and responses, between planning and sustainability.

Quarterly work plan for 2019

OUTCOME: 

During the session, the dates for the meetings with the Education Councilor (probably next January 22nd) and the Presidents of the 9 Municipalities were identified, the salient issues to be brought to their attention were introduced (housing, healthcare educational) and announced the availability of a space, available to the Council, inside a Palazzo Marino. The Permanent Table for issues relating to people with disabilities was also discussed and, with the contribution of Councilor Majorino, the draft of the new Welfare Plan of the Municipality of Milan was examined. The Council will meet again on January 22nd at 17.30 pm.

Council Commission Home, Public Works, ERP (Chaired by Councilor D'Amico Simonetta)

Agenda: Inspection at the building in via Carbonia n. 3 intended for the housing emergency of the Municipality of Milan.

The Councilor Gabriele Rabaiotti, the Director of the Housing Department of the Municipality of Milan, Eng. Francesco Tarricone.

OUTCOME: 

The councilors went, with their own means, to the building in via Carbonia, 3, to carry out the inspection. Having arrived there, half an hour after the convening time had passed and having noted the absence of a quorum to proceed with the work, President D'Amico thanked the councilors who had nevertheless gathered and declared the inspection deserted.

Council subcommittee Innovation, Transparency, Digital Agenda, Civil Status(Chaired by Councilor Arienta Alice)

Agenda: Transparency: update regarding the portal and mapping of municipal properties.

Councilor Lorenzo Lipparini and prof. will be present. Marcello Crivellini of the Polytechnic of Milan.

OUTCOME: 

The Councilor and the guests focused on the new contents of the geoportal of the Municipality of Milan dedicated to the green and real estate heritage.
The recent regulations on transparency in public administrations and the main sectors subject to these obligations were also recalled.
A debate followed during which the Councilors expressed their approval, underlining the importance of the geoportal and the numerous information it contains.

Joint Council Commission Tourism, Territorial Marketing, Wellbeing, Sport and Leisure e Periphery (Chaired by Councilors Fumagalli Marco Carlo and Osculati Roberta)

Agenda: Inspection at the Sant'Abbondio swimming pool located in Via Sant'Abbondio,12;

Participants:

  • SPORT AREA DIRECTOR: Mario Almasio;
  • MILANOSPORT - PLANT MANAGER: Giuseppe Selvaggio;
  • SUBURBS AREA DIRECTOR: Corrado Bina.

OUTCOME: 

The councilors went to the S. Abbondio swimming pool to take note of the state and functioning of the system. Having verified the situation and listened to the insights from the pool manager, everyone declared themselves favorably impressed by the excellence of the structure.

Joint Council Commission Equal opportunities and civil rights e Social Policies and Health Services, Volunteering (Chaired by De Marchi Councilors Diana Alessandra and Vasile Angelica)

Agenda: Nutrition and quality of life in the aging society.

Presentation of research from Bicocca University which presents contributions, perspectives and disciplines of sociology and food science in the relationship between food, aging and quality of life. 

Prof. Francesca Zajczyk and Dr. Luca DaConto from Bicocca University will be present.

OUTCOME: 

The speakers from Bicocca University presented research relating to the aging society on the subject of nutrition and quality of life. Contributions were made, in particular, regarding the relationship between food and aging. At the end of the presentation, the Presidents and some Commissioners indicated solutions that could overcome the problems of "food and relational deserts" which increasingly affect the elderly population of Milan

Council Commission Education, Education, University and Research (Chaired by Councilor Limonta Paolo)

Agenda: "All children should be happy. Even the ones in Momo's Locomotive."

The managers of the "La Locomotiva di Momo" kindergarten in via Anfossi 36 will be present.

OUTCOME

In the presence of the manager of the "La Locomotiva di Momo" nursery and nursery school, the phases of the legal case were retraced which saw the condominium in Via Anfossi pitted against the activity of the nursery, a presence considered a source of disturbance by of some owners. The councilors were thus able to express their solidarity with the children's activities, expressing themselves with concrete proposals on an administrative level, in order to overcome the problem that had arisen.

Council Commission Innovation, Transparency, Digital Agenda, Civil Status(Chaired by Councilor Arienta Alice)

Agenda: Inspection at the registry office in via Tibaldi n.41

OUTCOME: 

The Councilors went to the registry office in viale Tibaldi, 41 to visit the offices, get news on the problems related to the issuing of the electronic identity card, learn about the potential of the offices and any inconveniences of the employees and users of the service.

Agenda: "Museum Card".

OUTCOME: 

The Councilor and the guests illustrated the path that led to the creation of the Museums Card and its contents. They also exposed the salient data regarding the number of museums and other sites that have so far joined the initiative, the number of entries registered so far and other information regarding the Charter. The councilors expressed positive assessments of this initiative, born from a collaboration between the Region and the Municipality and also asked some questions to which the Councilor and the guests provided comprehensive answers.
