Agenda: DRESS CODE project.
   
OUTCOME: The Dress for Success Association illustrated its project aimed at helping women, who find themselves in difficult economic conditions, to start a path towards economic independence. The volunteers of the association collaborate with the users in drawing up their CV in a professional manner, prepare simulations of a job interview and identify the suitable dress to give to the women who have to attend a meeting to be hired. The dress subsequently remains the property of the latter.

Joint Council Commission: Equal Opportunities and Civil Rights and Housing – Public Works - Erp(Chaired by Councilors De Marchi Alessandra and D'Amico Simonetta)
Agenda: Mapping of applications for access to ERP housing in the Municipality of Milan with particular reference to the housing needs of single-member and single-parent families with dependent children.
The following were invited to the Commission's work:

OUTCOME: 

The Director of the Rental Policies Unit presented the analysis of the statistical data regarding single-member and single-parent households with dependent minors resident in the Municipality of Milan.
The Housing Councilor, after commenting on the situation that emerged from the study on the territory, invited the Commissioners to carry out their function of political direction in order to provide indications to be implemented to address this demographic reality which sees 45% of families residing in Milan made up of single people.
A fruitful debate followed at the end of which it was decided to undertake some of the proposals presented by the Commissioners shared by the Department.

Council Commission: Innovation - Transparency - Digital Agenda - Civil Status (Chaired by Councilor Arienta Alice)
Agenda: Inspection at the Bruzzano Cemetery.
Dr. Luigi Vigani will be present.

OUTCOME:

The Commission went to the Bruzzano Cemetery in order to view, together with the competent managers and the Director of Works, the progress of the maintenance works and those for the removal of architectural barriers.

Joint Council Commission: Mobility, Transport, Environmental Policies, Civil Protection, Animals and Greenery and Security and Social Cohesion – Local Police (Chaired by Councilors Carlo Monguzzi and Pantaleo Rosario) 
Agenda: Situation of taxi drivers regarding the different forms of illegal activity.
The following will be present at the commission's work: Councilor Anna Scavuzzo and representatives of the taxi driver associations.

OUTCOME: 

The representatives of the trade union associations in the taxi sector have urged the preparation of a memorandum of understanding between the municipal administration and the category to address, through concrete actions, the phenomenon of illegal construction in the non-scheduled public transport sector.
The establishment of a Commission, structured in its composition, was also requested, which is committed to monitoring this phenomenon and preparing and coordinating the necessary actions to combat it.
A debate followed during which the Councilors formulated some questions to which Councilors Scavuzzo and Granelli and the Offices provided answers.

Joint Council Commission: Tourism - Territorial Marketing - Wellbeing - Sport and Leisure and Social Policies and Health Services - Volunteering (Chaired by Councilors Fumagalli Marco and Vasile Angelica) 
Agenda: Proposal of free accessibility for disabled people and their companions to the Milano Sport sports facilities.
The following will be present at the hearing:

  • the doctor Andrea Zuccotti Director of the Civic Services, Participation and Sport Department
  • the doctor Mario Almasio Director of the Sport and Quality of Life Area

OUTCOME: 

The Councilor for Social Policies, the Official of the Sports Directorate and the General Director of Milanosport gave specifications relating to the proposal for free accessibility for disabled people and their companions. It was underlined that sport is for everyone and can help us better understand the world of disabilities, without any type of discrimination by adapting the structures to the needs of all citizens.

Joint Council Commission: Mobility, Transport, Environmental Policies, Civil Protection, Animals and Greenery and Verification and Control of Participatory Bodies (Chaired by Councilors Monguzzi Carlo and De Pasquale Fabrizio) 
Agenda: ATM hearing regarding the structural degradation of the Molino Dorino MM station: analysis of the problems and intervention programs.
A representative of ATM S.p.A. will participate.

OUTCOME:  

The ATM technicians explained that the design process for renovating the roof of the Molino Dorino Line 1 Metro Station will be completed by the end of September. The public tender notice is expected to be completed by the end of the year and work should start in late spring 2019, to be completed by September of the same year. The same technicians then responded to the questions of the President of the Participatory Commission, the Councilors and a representative of the station operators, declaring that the works are included in the Three-Year Works Plan of the Municipality of Milan, from which they will obtain the necessary funding (1,3 million Euros) and will not interfere with commercial activities and service to users, as long as they start in good weather, to make them last as little as possible.

Joint Council Commission: Urban planning - Private construction - Milanese agricultural system and innovation - Transparency - Digital agenda - Civil status (Chaired by Councilors Ceccarelli Bruno and Arienta Alice)
Agenda: Hearing by  Bas Boorsma managing director of Rainmaking Urban and Jonathan Reichental (professor at the University of California, Berkeley and the University of San Francisco) on the topic: "Evolution of Smart Cities as a Digital New Deal"
The following were invited to the Commission's work: the Councillors: Roberta Cocco and Pierfrancesco Maran.

OUTCOME: 

The guests first illustrated the concept of "smart city", then indicated the practices necessary for technologies to allow a public administration to respond to society's requests. The Councilor highlighted the need to provide rules for some developments, taking as an example some situations that happen in the city, underlining the usefulness of ensuring that the Administration moves at the same pace as ideas.

Joint Council Commission: International Affairs - Post Expo - European Policies and Peripheries (Chaired by Councilors Pacente Carmine and Osculati Roberta)
Agenda: “Projects of the Municipality of Milan financed with European funds from the Lombardy Region: state of progress of works at Lorenteggio, thanks to the ERDF (Program agreement promoted by the Lombardy Region with Aler Milan and the municipality of Milan - European Regional Development Fund, sustainable urban development axis ) and to the ESF (European Social Fund)".
Dr. will be present at the hearing for the Lombardy Region. Paolo Formigoni, Director of the Urban Development, Social Housing, Promotion and Interregional Relations unit, for the Municipality of Milan, Eng. Corrado Bina Director of Development and Strategic Coordination and Architect Patrizia Di Girolamo responsible for the Neighborhood Contracts and Urban Regeneration Unit. 

OUTCOME:  

In the presence of representatives of the Lombardy Region and the Municipality of Milan, and in relation to the management of the European Funds for urban development, an update was held on the urban and social redevelopment projects affecting the Lorenteggio district. The councilors were able to ask in-depth questions on the progress of the construction sites and more generally on the development policies of the European Union. The guests responded to the questions raised by going into the specific merits of the individual projects.
