Agenda: inspection at the Milan Catering headquarters in via Gian Battista Sammartini, 73.
The Councilor Laura Galimberti and the Sole Director of Milan Catering, Dr. Fabrizio De Fabritiis, will be present.

OUTCOME:

The Commission went to visit the Milano Ristorazione facility equipped with high-tech machinery that allows the production of school meals, special health diets, ethical and religious diets, refrigerated meals for the elderly at home, reception centers and day centers integrated. At the end of the inspection, the President of the Education Commission announced that he will convene a next session on the recovery of the arrears accrued towards Milano Ristorazione

Agenda: Inspection at the Baggio cemetery - via Oscar Arnulfo Romero.

OUTCOME: CIVIC SERVICES COMMISSION of 11.7.2018
During the visit, the following peculiarities of the Baggio Cemetery emerged: small size; high frequency of visitors compared to significantly larger structures; great care of the burials by the mourners and which is composed of twenty-one fields. Its expansion has been requested for some time.

Agenda: M4 Situation.

OUTCOME: The Councilor for Mobility, the Director of the Mobility Directorate and the representatives of M4 gave further specifications relating to the questions posed by the Councillors; specifically, the total reconstruction of the "M4 affair" was requested, if and when the Supplementary Deed was signed, the possibility of being able to make the opinion of the Lawyer's Office available to everyone, the amount of the cost of the construction sites during the period of arrest, copy of the minutes of the M4 Board of Directors and the technical responsibilities for the choices made. At the end, the President highlighted the need to convene further commissions on the topic in order to dispel any doubts.

Council Commission Urban planning - Private construction - Milanese agricultural system (Chaired by Councilor Ceccarelli Bruno)
Agenda: Towards the PGT. A connected, inclusive and attractive city.
Participants:

  • the technicians of the municipality of the departments concerned.

OUTCOME: Councilor Maran illustrated the main contents of the new PGT indicating the 5 objectives for Milan in 2030, i.e. a connected, metropolitan and global city, a city of opportunities, attractive and inclusive, a green, livable and resilient city, a city with 88 neighborhoods to call by name, a city that regenerates itself.
He then explored the first two points, postponing the discussion of the remaining ones to subsequent sessions.

Council Commission Labor Policies - Economic Development - Productive Activities - Trade - Human Resources (Chaired by Councilor Specchio Laura)
Agenda: Conditions, needs and expectations of craftsmanship and small businesses in Milan.
The point of view of CNA and the Craftsmen Union.
Participants:

  • Stefano Binda: head of trade union relations and metropolitan area CNA Lombardia
  • Giuseppe Vivace: general secretary of CNA Lombardy
  • Marco Accornero: General Secretary of the Artisans Union of the Province of Milan, Monza and Brianza.

OUTCOME: 

The guests, representatives of CNA and Unione Artigiani, illustrated the situation of artisan activities in the metropolitan city and in Milan at the end of the period of crisis that hit the markets. They underlined that the sector has, in any case, recorded a development in terms of employment. They explored employment issues and evolving situations in depth. They also focused attention on the greater development needs for artisan businesses, indicating the sectors in which the Municipality could help. The offices informed about the “Manifattura Milano” project. The councilors highlighted some aspects and informed about the activities implemented by the Council on the topic. The guests shared some intentions and reiterated their needs.

OUTCOME: 

The Councilors, as part of a series of visits to the farms of Milan, visited the Cascina Grande of Chiaravalle, whose two main activities are the production and sale of fodder and the caretaking of ten horses, with related teaching activities of the dressage discipline.

Council Commission Social Policies and Health Services - Volunteering (Chaired by Councilor Vasile Angelica) 
Agenda: Presentation of the Hot Floor.
Will be present: Councilor Pierfrancesco Majorino and Dr. Daria Maistri.

OUTCOME: 

The Councilor for Social Policies illustrated the 2018 Plan for sociality against loneliness which includes a series of initiatives and services aimed at elderly people who remain alone in the city during the summer period. In particular, it draws attention to the toll-free number (800 777 888) which, for the first time, will be active seven days a week from 8am to 19pm, which citizens can contact to listen and request assistance. He adds that the number will remain active even at the end of the summer period.

OUTCOME:  

Following the resignation of the President of the Culture Commission, a new President was elected. After a regular vote, councilor Turco Angelo was elected to this position.
