OUTCOME: The Councilor for Education and Instruction gave updates relating to summer centers and holiday homes by viewing slides; the Councilors expressed their doubts on the merits. At the end the President considered the topic to be discussed.

Agenda: Situation of school buildings in Milan with particular reference to fire prevention certification. They will be present:

• the Councilor for Education and Instruction Anna Scavuzzo 
• the Councilor for Public Works and Housing Gabriele Rabaiotti.

OUTCOME: 

The Councilors illustrated the current state in which Milanese school buildings find themselves from the point of view of fire prevention certification and from that of the general conditions with respect to extraordinary maintenance. It was specified that, until 31 December 2017, a legal extension is in force for the acquisition of the certification itself. The Councilors also underlined the importance of the issue of safety and the complexity of the procedures that are followed to award contracts. The councilors and representatives of the Municipalities highlighted the current problems and asked questions both on general issues and on specific buildings, to which the Councilors provided answers.

Joint Council Commission Urban planning, private construction, Milanese agricultural system and mobility, transport, environmental policies, civil protection, animals and greenery  (Chaired by Councilors Ceccarelli Bruno and Monguzzi Carlo)
Agenda: Participation path on the Program Agreement for the redevelopment of the Milanese railway yards: presentation of the work of the Technical Panel. Councilor Pierfrancesco Maran and Councilor Marco Granelli were invited to the Commission's work.

OUTCOME: 

Two contributions were presented, sent by two distinct groups of professionals to the Technical Committee which is working on the recovery program of the Railway Yards. The President of the Mobility Commission explained that, once all the contributions have been collected, including those from the Municipalities, a proposal for a policy document will be drawn up by himself and by the President of the Urban Planning Commission, to be discussed and voted on in the Council, which will be made by the Council, for the preparation of the new Program Agreement for the recovery of the Railway Yards. Today, having run out of time, the Commission was unable to listen to all the contributions of the invited professionals, who will therefore continue in a next meeting, already called for next Monday, 5 June.
