Agenda: The family theater of violence: violence against women and witnessed violence. Intervention models. With the participation of Stefano Piziali and Elena Caneva of WeWorld onlus.

OUTCOME: 

The WeWorld speakers, invited to the commission, gave specifics relating to violence against women and their children and the perception that Italians have regarding this issue. Regarding the Spazio Donna, a reception and aggregation center for women, they illustrated the activities proposed for their psychophysical well-being, the improvement of social conditions and employment opportunities. The Councilors expressed their reflections on the merits.

OUTCOME: 

The Commission carried out an inspection at the UESM Games House in via Sant'Uguzzone, 8 and the President of the Commission has undertaken to convene a specific Commission session to discuss and address the issues relating to the House of Games.

Agenda: The desk activities and awareness events of the FAMI Pre.Ce.Do. Project
There will be:

  • and representatives of the associations: ARCI Milan, "Racism is a bad story" and Cooperativa Amelik.

OUTCOME:

The session was divided into different moments of presentation of the activity of the Pre.Ce.Do. Desk, opened a few months ago at the House of Rights of the Municipality of Milan, and which is part of the Regional Plan for preventing and combating discrimination. Representatives of the various associations intervened and actively work on the project in a structured manner, illustrating the general aims and lines of intervention with respect to the multiplicity of cases that are accepted. The councilors present were thus able to learn about the problems of a very delicate area of ​​psycho-social intervention, expressing their opinions on the possible ways of emergence and identification of discriminatory phenomena within our society.

Joint Council Commission Innovation, Transparency, Digital Agenda, Civil Status and Anti-Mafia (Chaired by Councilors Arienta Alice and Gentili David)
Agenda: Continuation of discussion. Update of the anti-corruption and transparency plan.

OUTCOME: 

The Presidents illustrated the proposed agenda to be presented to the Council regarding the adoption of the Corruption Prevention and Transparency Plan for the three-year period 2018/2020, in which some specifications are indicated to the Council which will have to prepare the deliberative text. The councilors intervene on the merits by proposing clarifications and changes. The engineer Crapanzano highlighted the need to reach a measure to adopt the Three-Year Plan, explaining the reasons. At the end of the debate, the Presidents declare that they will be responsible for formalizing the text presented today for discussion so that the Council can shortly examine it and provide indications to the Council.

Agenda: Inspection at the Teatro Lirico in Milan.

OUTCOME: 

In the presence of the Councilors for Culture and Public Works, the Councilors visited the construction site set up for the conservative restoration of the Lyric Theatre, taking a look at the various spaces that will result from the works, whose completion is scheduled for autumn 2018.

OUTCOME:

The manager of ATS Milan illustrates the operational framework of the family clinics present in the city in light of the regulatory changes introduced by Regional Law no. 23 of 2015: three ATS (Health Protection Agencies) planned and a network of clinics, covering the entire municipal territory, with eighteen locations. The managers of FEDERVITA and the Italian Confederation of Family Counselors clarify, in turn, the specifics of intervention for the organizations they represent. Some disagreements emerged regarding prevention and sexuality education policies among some Councilors and between some of these and the guests present.

Joint Council Commission Urban planning, private construction, Milanese agricultural system and mobility, transport, environmental policies, civil protection, animals and greenery (Chaired by Councilors Ceccarelli Bruno and Monguzzi Carlo)
Agenda: Noise and vibration situation on the railway lines around Milan, with particular attention to the Milan-Mortara railway line.
The following will be present: Councilor Marco Granelli and representatives of Trenitalia - Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato.

OUTCOME: 

During the meeting, citizens who live near the urban route of the Milan Mortara railway line were interviewed and reported: the noise pollution caused by the passage of trains and the micro vibrations that damage the blocks of flats facing the railway bed. This problem has been present for many years now. Subsequently, the representative of RFI intervened to report on the projects, which in the past had been planned to mitigate pollution, but never implemented and on an experiment aimed at reducing the noise of the railway line which should be started next year.

Joint Council Commission Policies for Labour, Economic Development, Productive Activities, Trade, Human Resources and Subcommittee on Prisons, Penalties and Restrictions (Chaired by the Councilors Specchio Laura and Pirovano Anita)

Agenda: Inspection at the VialedeiMille Consortium

Illustration of Consortium activities relating to the development of new work, collaboration and exchange opportunities with companies to encourage the social and work reintegration of prisoners inside and outside prison.

OUTCOME: 

The Commissioners went to the “VialedeiMille” Consortium, located in Viale dei Mille, 1 Milan, where a meeting took place with the managers of this reality who presented the ongoing activities aimed at the recovery of prisoners and with representatives of various bodies such as Confcommercio, CNA, Federmoda which have offered their availability to carry out projects with the Consortium itself.

Agenda: "Update plan for the elimination of architectural barriers (PEBA)" continuation of the Commission's work of 6 July 2017.

OUTCOME: 

In the presence of the Housing Councilor and the Social Policy Councilor, the path that led to the creation of the PEBA was illustrated; the document presents itself as a plan of possible interventions that can be carried out in order to eliminate architectural barriers and to construct new buildings adequately. It is intended to be a method document. A mapping was developed of the spaces to which evaluation stickers were assigned: red for non-accessible spaces/buildings, yellow for sufficiently accessible spaces/buildings and green for accessible spaces/buildings. The Councilors offered their reflections on the merits.

Agenda: "Derive e Approdi" project: prevention of trafficking and support for victims.
There will be:
Bodies implementing the project and in particular the Cooperative Fight against marginalization.

OUTCOME: 

The offices and the representative of the Cooperative Fight against marginalization illustrated the Derive e Approdi project which involves the Metropolitan City and other provinces of Lombardy in preventing trafficking and supporting its victims. They explored the salient points and clarified the intervention methods. The councilors appreciated the project and indicated some themes on which it could be profitable to direct action.

The Commission discussed the changes to be made to the Organization and Functioning Regulations of the City Council. At the end of the discussion, the President of the Commission declared the topic discussed.
