Agreements and Protocols

Protocols, agreements, good practices are the key words of the work of this office, with the sole objective of making administrative procedures simpler, of avoiding irreconcilable inconsistencies between the procedures of different administrations, of avoiding making children and adolescents pay the weight of choices made by others (generally adults) and to therefore involve them as much as possible before the choices are made”. With this spirit, the Guarantor, within the scope of its mandate, has favored and supported the discussion between the parties and the signing of agreements and protocols which involved, in addition to the Municipality of Milan, various city health, socio-health, social, schools (ASST, ATS, Prosecutor's Offices, Courts, Professional Associations, Education Office, Student Council)
Il Protocol has as its object the collaboration between the Guarantor and the Consulta for the implementation of joint initiatives, in fact the common interest of the Guarantor and the Consulta is to pursue the superior interests of children, girls and adolescents and, in particular, to define an operational strategy to encourage the involvement of institutions, schools, citizens and civil society, to spread knowledge and respect for the rights of children and adolescents and all issues relating to the promotion of legality, the culture of mediation, mutual respect and citizenship and active participation.
It was signed in order to spread awareness throughout the city of the rights held by adolescents, to ensure their full implementation, always favoring direct listening.
The Guarantor of the Rights of Children and Adolescents of the Municipality of Milan, in agreement with the Welfare Directorate and the Education Directorate, promoted the discussion between the Milan Bar Association, the Lombardy Association of Social Workers and the Municipality of Milan Education Directorate and Welfare Directorate.
This comparison led to the drafting and signing of the document "Relations between Lawyers, Social Services and Child Services of the Municipality of Milan" with the aim of adopting procedures, practices and languages shared among all the professionals involved in the processes of reception and protection of the rights of minor citizens of the Municipality of Milan, to help guarantee the respect and implementation of the rights established by the International Convention on Rights of childhood and adolescence.
