Requirements for the design and maintenance of public green areas

Guidelines for the design and maintenance of public green areas (or private ones serving public use) entrusted to private operators

The technical requirements contained in this page have the function of directing the design and maintenance of public or private green areas for public use and entrusted to private operators.

The document lists the requirements that operators must comply with. These standards integrate the "Regulations for the use and protection of public and private green areas" and the "Technical specifications of the regional price list of public works". The aim is to ensure that each new intervention fits harmoniously and coherently in terms of traffic, functions and green furnishings into the existing urban system.

The green works will be designed and built taking into account the economic resources that the public administration has for subsequent maintenance.

The part relating to maintenance - ordinary, extraordinary and in case of vandalism - analytically describes the procedures and provisions that the operator must respect so that the green space is experienced as a welcoming, safe place, suitable for use by people of different age groups, interests and cultures.
