Inhumation is the burial of the coffin in a cemetery field, for a non-renewable period of not less than ten years.

For the burial of deceased persons who they did not die in Milan and who lived in another municipality during their lifetime, it is necessary to obtain prior authorization.

The laying of a monument on the ten-year burial it is not mandatory. Whoever decides to carry it out can request it after at least six months have passed from the date of burial.

1. Request
The request for authorization must be presented directly to the cemetery by the citizen or by a delegated company with two revenue stamps of €16,00.

2. Deposit
The authorization authorizing the installation is issued following payment of the municipal fee of €199,25 plus €2,00 stamp duty. At the Maggiore, Bruzzano and Lambrate cemeteries, the fee is paid via POS.

3. Posing
Once the authorization has been obtained, the company in charge of the work will be able to access the cemetery by delivering a copy of the authorization at the entrance to the structure.
