Cell assignment: how it works

The cell is an artefact created by the Municipality to house the remains or ashes of the deceased person and can be granted under concession by signing a contract lasting 20 or 30 years.

The cell must be kept in a state of decorum and safety at the care and expense of the concessionaire or those entitled to it.

In the case of:

deceased people and living residents outside the Municipality of Milan
or
who have already found burial outside the Municipality of Milan, even if deceased or living in Milan

see the page "Transferring a deceased person to Milan".

Check the rates updated.

In case of cancellation before the contractual deadline, the concessionaire is entitled to a partial refund of the amount paid for the calculation of which 20% of the amount paid will be deducted for each year or fraction of a year elapsed from the date of concession.

The refund does not concern sums paid for secretarial fees, tax stamps and any expenses.
