Winning project
“Coinventing Doria” is a hostel open to national and international hospitality with large spaces of interest and public use. The project redesigns the stretch of via Doria between viale Brianza and via Giovanni da Palestrina, now used as a paid public car park, transforming it into a new center of gravity for the neighborhood equipped with greenery and public spaces.
The project involves the construction of a nine-storey building overlooking a new square. On the ground floor of the structure there will be a bar, a central aggregation element in relation to the outside through a direct connection to the new square.
Coinventing Doria focuses on the use of highly innovative technologies.
The strategies for mobility and greenery are two other pieces of the sustainable aspect of the project.
The area is designed as a new interchange hub between public, private, electric and shared mobility. It is planned to change the street layout by increasing public space for social cohesion and greenery.
