Bagutta 2 - Former Garage Traversi - Implementation Plan

Implementation Plan concerning the area and building in via Bagutta 2 "ex Garage Traversi"

The plan - activated for the establishment of a large sales structure within the historic center - has as its object the building renovation and refunctionalization of the existing building in via Bagutta 2, in the immediate vicinity of Piazza San Babila, already called " Garage Traversi” and used as a garage.

Part of the resources deriving from the monetization of the territorial endowment (€4.569.454,02) are used for the creation of a new public service within Municipality 1.

The project in particular includes:

  • the establishment of a sales structure and catering spaces in the existing building in via Bagutta,
  • the construction of a new municipal swimming center with two pools, solarium and appurtenant services in via Fatebenesorelle,
  • the redevelopment of via Fatebenesorelle with the reorganization of parking spaces and the creation of new underground services in connection with Corso di Porta Nuova.

  • Plan approved, with implementation agreement signed and public and private qualifications issued;
  • private building nearing completion;
  • public interventions underway.

On the basis of the criteria defined with the affixing of the monumental restriction (Ministerial Decree dated 17.7.2007), the intervention on the building in via Bagutta involves the redistribution of the gross floor area. existing through a three-level elevation within a maximum height of 40 meters, according to a planimetric distribution and colors homogeneous with the adjacent contemporary buildings.

The new swimming pool in via Fatebenesorelle will be located inside a new single-storey building, adjacent to other sports facilities, within which the work of art represented by the installation will be located (pursuant to Law 717/1949) “The Swimmer goes too often to Heidelberg” from 1984 by Studio Azzurro.
