Milan, 7 December 2020 - Innovation: the “Connect the school - Light the future” project has started. The idea, born from the collaboration between the Municipality of Milan, the Banca Popolare di Milano Foundation and the Metropolitan City, will allow the strengthening of connectivity in 272 Milanese public schools, thanks to the donation of 255 thousand euros by the banking institution.
Last summer, the same partner had already guaranteed the supply of 240 devices to Milanese students, demonstrating great sensitivity to the issue of the right to education in a phase in which, especially the youngest, they need to stay connected.

Zumbimbi: the service that welcomes minors and single parents with children who have tested positive for Covid and who are unable to isolate themselves in their own home has reopened. The La Cordata social cooperative, as happened last spring, has made 12 protected rooms available and will be able to accommodate up to a maximum of 24 minors between 6 and 17 years old in its structure, guaranteeing all health protection procedures.
The project carried out by Zumbimbi, in agreement with the Municipality of Milan and ATS, will also be able to count on the consultancy of the pediatricians of the pediatric emergency room of the ASST Santi Paolo e Carlo.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II: temporary shops and other forms of economic refreshment for the "Salotto" shops. The guidelines for supporting the commercial activities of the monumental complex overlooking Piazza Duomo have been approved.
For the period October 2020 - June 2021, it will be possible to both allocate a part of the commercial surface area to the activation of temporary shops and expand the product categories on sale.
This possibility is accompanied by further support formulas: no change of control or duplication of fees for companies that will strengthen their capital structure; extension of the 10% discount on the concession fee to historic multi-window shops; adjustment of the methods for determining the starting price to guarantee speed and efficiency in the rotation of expiring commercial businesses.
