Milan, 12 June - School building: in Milan we start again from the rooftops. The Council has given the green light to a strategic maintenance plan for a total value of 14 million euros. The most widespread interventions will concern the safety, waterproofing of roofs and the maintenance of rainwater drains and will allow the reopening of spaces that are currently unusable.

Foodpolicy: by the end of the year a new hub against food waste in Lambrate. The structure, located in via Bassini, was granted for use by AVIS municipal Milan and will be built thanks to the collaboration between the Municipality, the Cooperative Credit Bank of Milan and the Lombardy Food Bank "Danilo Fossati" ONLUS association. The agreement signed between the parties will last four years.

Milan Learning day: presented a very rich catalog of training courses. There are over 900 opportunities, offered by the municipal job training centres, by the Fondazione Milano Scuole civice and by the Higher School of Applied Arts and they range from graphic and communication arts, to the construction of musical instruments, up to tailoring, fashion design, optics, IT, foreign language courses, as well as comics and game design.

#Environmentatschool: the winners of the "A mural for the environment" contest have been selected. Environmental sustainability, separate waste collection, food waste and climate change were the inspiring themes for the participants of the 80 classes of lower secondary schools in Milan. The three winners of the competition were awarded courses with professional ecodesigners for the creation of murals in their respective schools.
