The news of the week

Milan, March 27 2020 – Some of the initiatives promoted in recent days by the municipal administration to deal with the Coronavirus emergency.

Education: Milan is taking up the challenge for a digital school that can reach all students. The exploratory notice "Alliance for #Milanodigitale" has been published to encourage the process of donating and sharing technological tools and projects by all those private individuals who wish to support distance learning. Thanks to these collaborations, schools in Milan will be helped to remain open and all students will be allowed to participate in online lessons.

Commerce: the map of neighborhood businesses open in the city during this emergency period is online. There are over 370 neighborhood shops open; not only food and household and personal detergents, but also pizzerias and takeaways offering take-away services and food operators present in the covered municipal markets, as well as many newsstands.
A very useful service for finding, in the immediate vicinity of your home, small commercial activities available to make home deliveries, neighborhood economic realities that have always been at the center of the economic life of each neighborhood and which can now be even more strategic in contributing to limit travel.

Volunteering: no one was left to fend for themselves, not even our four-legged friends. "Never alone, if you stay at home" arrives, an initiative to support the elderly with animals through free deliveries of basic necessities, products for the care of four-legged friends, as well as a free dog sitting service.
Volunteering available to everyone to ensure the overall well-being, not only of grandparents in difficulty, but also of their faithful life companions.
