At the same time, the "Attaccàti al tram" initiative will also take place, the mental health tram that will cross the city making three stops to raise awareness among citizens:

  • from 16pm to 00pm, in Piazzale Aquileia;
  • from 17pm to 15pm, in Piazza Castello (corner of Via Beltrami).

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Guarantor of the Rights of Children and Adolescents of the Municipality of Milan, Silvio Premoli, sends his message aimed in particular at younger people, recalling article 6 of the Convention on the Rights of childhood and adolescence of the UN on the right to life and healthy development.

"You have the right to live and grow well! Therefore – underlines the Guarantor – both the institutions and the adults around you will have to commit themselves by guaranteeing you the resources to protect your life and your growth in the best possible way. You must be helped to grow up in an atmosphere of love and moral and material security. Neuropsychiatrist, social worker, pediatrician, pedagogist, educator, psychologist, rehabilitation therapist, teacher... there are many experts who can support you, but it is essential that all of us adults increase our efforts and investments to be able to help you emerge from moments of crisis with timely, targeted and coordinated interventions. As Guarantor of the rights of children and adolescents, I add my voice to those who are concerned about the emergence of severe unaccompanied psychiatric problems. provided with sufficient resources, they ask for concrete actions that promote the development of mental health, placing children, boys and girls at the center of investments for the future".

The Guarantor concludes his message with advice, thinking above all of young people whose mental well-being has been severely tested during the pandemic: "Treasure everything you are given and make the most of it, because one day you too will become an adult responsible and you will know what will be best for a boy of your own age."
