Disc golf Parco Lambro

Disc golf Parco Lambro

The first Italian public disc golf course is located inside the Lambro Park, in Viale Turkey. Created by the Municipality of Milan, it is the subject of a collaboration agreement between the Administration, Municipality 3, the Il Disc golf association and Cascina Biblioteca.

The purposes of the collaboration agreement are the care of the areas, guaranteeing minor maintenance of the pitch, and entertainment with tournaments and initiatives open to all.

This agreement represents an innovative shared management of public areas that combines sport, greenery and sociality.

Disc golf is a sport that is played with rules very similar to those of traditional golf but with discs (frisbees) instead of clubs and balls and a metal basket (basketball) instead of a hole in the ground. The objective is to complete the 12-hole course with the least number of throws, each hole ends by landing the disc inside the basket.

On April 6, 2023, the collaboration agreement was redesigned by the parties. In this case, other baskets and arches were purchased by the Municipality and the signatories in order to expand and improve the sports facility. Through these actions, the course reaches the regulatory gaps necessary to be included among professional and international facilities.
