The municipal statute

The municipal statute expresses the values ​​in which the Milanese community recognizes itself.

It establishes the principles of organization and functioning of the body, the guarantees of minorities, the forms of popular participation, the division of the Municipality into decentralized areas, the methods of citizens' access to information and administrative procedures.

It describes the characteristics of the institution's emblems: the historic banner, the coat of arms of the City of Milan and the flag of the Municipality of Milan.

Specifies the duties of the Mayor, the Executive and the City Council.

Indicates the forms of collaboration with other local authorities to carry out functions and services of interest to multiple communities in a coordinated manner.
