Cost of the pass
The release is free.

Duration
It may vary depending on the type of vehicle availability and the country in which the license is issued:

• residents with an Italian or EU driving license and a vehicle registered in Italy
  - the duration of the pass is unlimited
• residents with Italian or EU driving license and non-owned vehicles
  - if the vehicle has been in use (e.g. leasing, rental or free loan for use for at least 3 months) the maximum duration of the pass is 3 years, unless the use contract lasts for a different shorter period
• residents with a driving license issued by a non-EU country
  - the duration of the pass is one year, regardless of ownership and place of registration.

€250,00 per year.

Renewal
It can happen starting from two months ago of the deadline.

• The methods are the same as those foreseen for the original request
• it is necessary to present updated documentation confirming the continuation of the required requirements.

Employees and collaborators of companies who stay in guesthouses or hotel facilities and do not have a registered rental contract can request a pass to stay in the area where their home is located (not to be confused with the workplace).

Cost of the pass
€250,00 per year.

• In case of cessation of use, the Administration is not required to reimburse the amount corresponding to the period of non-use
• in the event of incorrect or undue payment of the amount for issuing the pass, the Administration will refund the undue sum, following a documented request to be sent to the email address mta.sostaresidenti@comune.milano.it

The pass becomes void in the event of:

• transfer of address outside the authorized scope
• replacement, sale, scrapping of the vehicle to which the pass is associated (to authorize the parking of a new vehicle it will be necessary to request a new pass on the Citizen's File)
• change in barrack conditions
• deletion from the Infringement Detection System database of the Municipality of Milan due to:
  - death of the pass holder (the closure of the permit will not be carried out at the same time as the notification of death, but will take place within 60 days of the closure of the succession and in any case no later than 14 months from the day of death)
  - the pass holder's personal details cannot be found
  - emigration of the pass holder.
