Imu: submit the declaration

The Imu declaration serves to communicate to the Municipality the changes that occurred during the previous year, which influence the determination of the tax, its reduction or exemption.

Therefore, the obligation to present the declaration arises only in cases in which variations have occurred with respect to what appears in the declarations already presented, as well as in cases in which variations have occurred which are not, however, knowable by the Municipality.

Submission deadlines:

By 30 June of the year following the year in which possession of the properties began or significant changes occurred for the purposes of determining the tax.

Please note that for the year 2024 the deadline for submitting the declaration is set at 1 July, with the legal deadline falling on Sunday.

Once the documentation has been downloaded and completed, submit it via the channels indicated

The declaration can be submitted for via telematics:

a)  directly from the declarant through telematic services Enter o fisconline based on the requirements possessed for obtaining the qualification. For qualification procedures, visit the specific section of the Revenue Agency website: www.agenziaentrate.gov.it;
 
b) through an authorized intermediary pursuant to art. 3, paragraph 3, Presidential Decree 22 July 1998, n. 322 and subsequent amendments which transmits electronically to theInland Revenue, the declarations prepared on behalf of the declarant and for which they have undertaken the commitment to submit electronically.

  • for self-certification
    - declaration of contract conformity - name/surname or denomination of the subject
    - declaration of fulfillment of tax obligations - name/surname or denomination of the subject

    brief description of the type - name/surname or denomination of the subject

You can send a registered letter without return receipt to:

On the envelope it is necessary to write:

  • the wording Imu declaration
  • the tax year.

It is also possible to send from abroad, via registered letter or other equivalent means which clearly indicates the shipping date.
