Free temporary parking at accommodation facilities

Accommodation facilities can request:

  • the creation of parking stalls for the loading and unloading of baggage and passengers
  • the issuing of the relevant passes for temporary free parking.

What is the temporary parking area at the accommodation facility used for?
It allows you to carry out loading and unloading operations of baggage and passengers in the perimeter in front of the outside of the requesting accommodation facility, as well as boarding on tourist buses and/or for service reasons connected to the activity of the accommodation facility.

Who can request authorization to create a temporary parking area?
The accommodation facility operating in the city area, with a 2 star category or higher, provided it has at least 20 rooms or 35 beds, can request the creation of a rest area in front of the outside of the facility, to be used for temporary loading and unloading .

The following are excluded from the request: 1 star Cat. Hotels, Bed & Breakfasts, Residences, Guest Houses.

Allocation of establishment and maintenance costs
The marking of the horizontal signs, the installation of the vertical signs and maintenance will be the responsibility and expense of the accommodation facility.

What is the pass for?
The pass authorizes all vehicles and tourist buses to park for free and temporarily (max 30 minutes) for the loading and unloading of luggage and passengers in the loading and unloading areas located near the accommodation facility.

Who can request it?
The application to obtain the accommodation facility pass can be submitted:

  • from accommodation facilities
  • by the hoteliers' trade association

using the form available in the section Forms accompanied by the indicated documentation.

How many passes to request
Each accommodation facility can request a pass for each stall, up to a maximum number of two.

Pass collection
The pass will be issued within 30 days of submitting the Application. Your availability will be communicated via email. Upon collection, the payment of €10,00 is required as production costs for the receipt.

Duration
The duration of the pass is 5 years, except in cases of forfeiture expressly provided for by sector regulations.

In case of theft or loss
It is necessary to file a complaint with the judicial authority and ask the Municipality for a duplicate of the pass, which will have the same expiry date as the one no longer available.

Forfeiture
The pass will be forfeited and revoked in the event of:

  • change of legal name of the accommodation facility
  • improper use
  • loss of the requirements indicated in art. 2 of the specifications approved with D.D. n.2 of 11/01/2019.

Remember
In requests via email it is necessary to approve and cancel the revenue stamp with the indication of the date before sending the email message. The original revenue stamp must be kept under the applicant's responsibility and exhibited for any future checks by the competent authority.
