Fines and penalties: pay a report

Which  verbal?
This page describes the reports for infringements of the Highway Code and the related payment methods:

  1. the complaint report
it is normally filled out by the Local Police Officer on the spot of the violation and in the presence of the violator, to whom a copy is given

  2. the infringement investigation report
it is instead delivered to the owner of the vehicle via registered post. This report notifies for example:
    - infringements for transit on reserved lanes or limited traffic zones detected with a camera
    - parking violations that have not been paid in the first five days (i.e. ADI infringement findings).

Other minutes
For reports regarding violations of the law other than the Highway Code, it is necessary to observe the payment methods indicated by the organization receiving the proceeds or contact it.

30% reduction on the expected fine
It is expected if payment is made within five days of notification.

After five days, the payment includes the payment of the entire amount of the fine plus notification costs. The payment deadline is set at 60 days from notification.

If the expiry day is a holiday, the deadline is extended to the first following non-holiday day.

Remember
To be valid and to benefit from the expected reductions, payment must be made within the established deadlines (Highway Code, art. 202).
